No it doesnt really. Cant see any similarities in exploring Antarctic on one hand and having some fun, enjoying fishing by the lake on other.... I dont want to feel like they did. I didnt say warm, I said comfortable. It is not comfortable to be in xx layers 24/7 if it would be, we wouldnt have so sophisticated heating systems at home. Hunters etc use heated jackets, boots etc for some time (I am just buying some) and it is only energy consumption that is stopping these products being more practical in fishing as charging batteries is normally inconvenient on few days sessions.

I think it's a fantastic idea and has been a long time coming. Have to laugh at the resistance to any innovation, but that's par for the course.
I think it will be good to use like a heated blanket, turn it on a while before bed and its nice and cosy when you climb in
Same when you get up for a fish in th night (ok, more likely a wee!) and then you can do the same again.
Nothing worse than climbing in a cold sleeping bag and having it zap the warmth out of you for those few mins when it heats up.
Hopefully should open up cold weather angling more for those with joint problems, arthritis etc and should hopefully have a better spread of heat compared to a hot water bottle.
People have heated blankets at home where we have central heating and so on, so can't see the fuss about it needing to be Siberia outside for things like this to be made available.

You make a good point there, I'm only half a century and touch wood no joint problems touch wood.
If it helps you to get outside in the depths of winter to enjoy your fishing then yes I can see the benefit.

You have to be a hard man in the Royal Marines or the Para's. We're talking about carp fishing. Not everyone is 20 years old , fit as a flea, and hard as flint. Why would boiling a kettle to fill a hot water bottle be ok, but the having a device that you just press a button and it does the exact same effect not be ok?

Just saw the chart 20k power bank will give you 15h on low and 12 on high setting... if that is true and it actually gives proper heat it is not that bad... I would be more concerned with heating breaking down or cleaning the bag.
