When mine asks "when you be home" and I reply " Wednesday" she replies "Can you make it Friday"

This is brilliant
My wife calls them Bivouacs as she knows it makes me laugh .... Its like a well-rehearsed joke from her but she does have a point as does your good lady

Some years ago my wife was in the kitchen next to the living room where I was watching some Korda stuff with Danny F breathing heavily during a fight and saying "come to daddy", "be good to me" and the usual stuff ending it with "GET INNNNN". My wife yelled: For Christ sake are watching porn in there?

My daughter in law regularly asks how many prawns did i catch/lose..More often or not I send her a pic of a common or mirror 'prawn' or two and say these

Looks like I am very lucky, my wife is always so happy when I go fishing, she keeps asking me when will I do another night, she even helps me pack my gear and load the car, sometimes even my neighbour comes and helps out, he is really nice!

Not a relation but a number of years ago (over 30) on a Royal Parks lake I was retrieving a largish pike bait. A couple were walking past behind me some 20 yards away. The young lass came over to see what I had just "caught". I held it up and said it was a half mackerel. It was quite obviously cut in half. She went back and told her other half that I had caught half a mackerel. He replied "has he really?" and they carried on walking.
Always makes me smile when I think of that.

I'm separated now, she knew I went fishing when I met her, but regularly got "you going fishing AGAIN?"
She hated me doing nights, even though I had worked 18-20 hour days for most of the week.

I must be one of the lucky ones ,after posting on here 10 yrs ago about my partner being a absolute bitch we split . i replied to a comment on facey to a lady who wanted to catch a 100 doubles that season .51 weeks later we were married i moved from Coventry to Stafford not the best place for decent fish . She has stopped fishing due to illness but doesn't have a problem with any time i want to fish ,loads and unloads my van because im more disabled than her ,if im local brings food ,bait water etc .
