to be honest it was good BUT
if you watch the series on catchup tv you will see better episodes some breath taking locations and some simply hilarious moments in my opinion one of the best series for years loosely based on angling and enjoying life

I'll be honest I haven't watched any of these either but I did record this and most likely watch the rest on catch up

Thoroughly enjoyed it as I did all the others, and the book, this is to me what getting out there is all about, enjoying life away from the world with the chance of a kipper or two

Somehow they have managed to catch what is the “Essence” of what fishing should be all about, is it the layed back attitude, the no one after scoring brownie points, the lack of “egos”?

I always thought that it was similar to that of a Cocaine infused cockiness and arrogance, spouting constant bollox, I'm the man, tear open the shirt and burst out of the bivvy to grab the rod and hit into it hard prior to screaming out aloud telling everybody on the lake and the world that your the man
Oh, how times change, it is just fishing ffs

Both Me and the wife watched it last night...Even she laughed at the banter between them, said it reminded her so much of me and a mate who I dont to get to fish with often enough... ... Really enjoyed the episode.
Shocked at the state of CR tho...looking rather haggard but unsurprising considering what hes been through!

was shocked to see Chris Rea I still remember him as he was in 1986 when he recorded this but consider ring what he went thru its a credit to the NHS he is still above ground

Agree a couple of very touching moments, but not as funny or irreverential as most of the regular series. Enjoyable but not a belly laugh episode like some of the others. Christmas episode has to be different I suppose.. Still enjoyed watching it. Raised a few smiles.

That little coastal village they stayed in was beautiful.
