Oakleys are the one Polaroid I've never used for fishing. Got 2 pairs for general wearing out and about that are polarised but whether the lenses are different for the fishing ones I don't know. Have just brought a pair of green costas glass lenses for high light and silver sunrise for low light but could only find those in plastic already had costas with copper glass lense too I'm all sunglassed out this year. If you go on eBay you can generally get them for about £140 posted with import tax from America for glass lenses and about £110ish for the plastic ones I've found.

All depends on the water clarity as well
Doesnt matter if i wear a
10£ eye level pair
20£ esp pair
40£ fortis pair
Or a >100£ pair of oakleys
If the water is pea green or you can only see down a foot or 2 none are helping which i think a lot of people expect lol
They will help stop your eyes straining though and to me that is more important

Bump. So today I'm devastated, broke my Fox 300s were they? anyway, I quite liked them

Edit - I have just seen the Korda wraps, look similar to the Fox, anybody using them, decent?

exactly you are suffering plaecebo but dont relize because of exactly that. polarized lenses cut out all reflected glare and different coloured lenses help with different light scenarious as does other anti glare coatings some are just on the front some are front and back.The lens isnt about better vision its simply about getting rid of glare

Very well made feel really robust and comfy they are quite heavy but that's because frame is reinforced I believe.I really rate mine over my costas and Oakleys but could because they don't have glass lenses

Yeah they say they're far superior in clarity purely because they use glass instead of plastic, a few places doing them for £69.99 I think I saw which isn't too bad to pay if they are genuinely better than most.

I've currently got Costas and £20 Fortis amber wraps. I have tried them side by side and the only difference that I can tell from a visibility perspective relates to the tint (ambers better than my brown Costa lenses in low light as expected).
In the past I have owned polarised lenses from Fox, Oakley, Ray Ban, Smith, Action Optics (by Smith), and Bolle.
For me, the cheap ones have performed just as well in fishing situations.
The more expensive brands tended to be more comfortable, slightly reduce eye strain if wearing all day, and look better. They also come with better warranties which is useful as my Costas are the worst made of the lot and I am on my second replacement pair from Farlows.
From my perspective, cost made no difference to visibility/ performance in a fishing situation.

I bought some Rayban 4147 a few years back.
They are about £100 new but you can get some good condition second from eBay for £30-£50.
IMHO they are as good as anything you can buy...

so i wear normal day to day glasses, and when i fish i need to have them as well are there any decent glasses that does day to day use and fishing as well saves on buying lots of pairs or good ones that can be worn over my glasses or would u just get prescription ones?
