Totally and utterly disrespectful to the genuine anglers out there and a disgrace to the pastime, has the potential to cast a very dark cloud over all the people who have gave it their all over the last few years

Genuinely think the carp match scene is doomed now over this, there will always be questioned and allegations made on any big hit of fish in a match.

It's strange that I've never met anyone who follows carp matches. I'm sure there must be loads of people who do, but i can't say I've ever met anyone who doesn't think the England carp team should go into room 101.

I'm a bit lost.
I am looking for a liquid, that isn't used for fishing that I can get form a supermarket and it would be the last hing I would pick from a list of 30 things. This thing is not sold in tackle shops, works best in shallow water and guarantees a bite. It is sold by a certain bait company, but only to the trade and not direct to the public. This should be pretty easy to nail down, as there can't be many things that a bait company cell that aren't for fishing . I wouldn't pick duress love lube, so that could be it but then again I don't know if it's on the list or if the bait company sell it. It's safe to use, but not sold in tackle shops....
It's like one of those games where you stick the post it on your head.

Taken from KH Facebook page This is a joint statement from Mark Bartlett, Kevin Hewitt, Wayne Mansford, Ryan Need and Tom Maker.
First of all we would like to like to say how much we are humbled by the support from so many of you following the ridiculous allegations made against us.
As you know we have been taking this matter seriously and also legally as we felt we had to make a stand. This was more than ‘Internet gossip' and needed stopping. We have now received written evidence and apologies which confirm the allegations we untrue.
After thoroughly investigating this matter, it was commenced by one individual Mr Stephen White through a podcast making false allegations and which he has now admitted doing and has withdrawn his allegations and the podcast has been removed. Unfortunately, a number of others added and spread these unfounded claims for their own gratification.
We applaud the people who have submitted apologies & statements of retraction within the 72 hour period, which has taken an honest stance, to correct their own actions.
We all feel that this type of abuse, trolling and ‘keyboard warriors' with no consideration of any impact, is totally unacceptable in any sport of which we are continuing legal proceedings accordingly.
This type of abuse can seriously affect mental well-being and have a financial impact, we must all play our part in trying to reduce this happening in future by not giving these individuals the flatform and attention they thrive on. If they took as much time and effort in improving and researching their fishing, then maybe they might be happier within our sport. There is no room for false allegations by keyboard warriors.

Well at least they had the balls to put a name in the statement, more than the podcast did.
If there is evidence that an illegal substance being used, but the people who are too scared to name and shame with supporting evidence then imo that's almost as bad as the use itself.
If it's true and you have evidence, just grow a pair and out it rather than a fluffy podcast which starts off selling flavours, dances around any facts then gets pulled.

I listened to both the Carp Chronicles podcast and I dont seem to remember any of these names being mentioned. So cant see the need to take them down and issue apologises.. I'm confused..
