I avoid fishing in 25c+ as it's too hot for me, and more importantly, the various concerns with respect to fish safety. I would sooner be in 5c than 25c.
Aside from a quick overnighter two weeks ago during a lull in heat, I did my first proper trip since the heatwave began on the weekend and enjoyed glorious 20c overcast, breezy weather. I even had a little bit of condensation in my bivvy on my second night... how novel.

In case that didn't read as it was intended.
I meant the water I'm a member of. I have taken my dissolved oxygen meter and taken readings at various times. The lowest readings will almost be around sunrise.

I’d like to publicly apologise as I am one of those anglers that can’t stand summer fishing, school holidays, crowded banks, seal clubbing at times, and given my usual family holiday and the start of the football season - I don’t ever fish much June - Aug. I prefer to slag you all off and immerse myself in winter days home for roast and wine.
But with the footy season delayed due to the World Cup, a June family holiday I have done a handful of day sessions / afternoon and hat off (or on) to any of you out there doing a bit. It is horrific weather to be fishing in and this from someone, who will often fish part frozen lakes and places where a winter wind cuts you in half.
Yes you can still catch them but I find it absolute torture, and pick venues and swims based on shade.
I know this summer is different level heat - but I just can’t enjoy it, bring on the colder months, I submit - winter anglers are nowhere near as hardcore as summer, you can always stay warm, or warm up, but Christ I tied a rig Sunday afternoon and couldn’t see due to the sweat falling on my glasses lenses…

Don't apologize, I'm not a lover of hot weather either, spent a lot of time on the bank in past summers sweating like the proverbial, getting burnt and eaten by horse flies- so give me 16-20 degrees and a bit of cloud and I'm much happier
Usually fish mid-afternoon to an hour after sunset but those hours have been the worst.
Only had three Saturday mornings on my club water dawn to 11am since the hot weather started.
