Same, still going strong. Other than the on/off switch I can't fault them & they've never missed a beat. You're right about the handles. It always makes me laugh when I see people trying to weigh fish with 2 fingers tthough the top of the scales...

Got 2 sets of the cheap ones off Ebay for river and Tench fishing.
They work a treat, don't know why i still take my digital Reuben Heaton's for carp fishing!

I bought a cheap set of digi luggage scales off Ebay for £4 and RH Digitals 9000's (long thin one) and tested both against my RH Dials. Both the cheap and the RHD9s were equally accurate, I was very impressed, espesh with the £4 but it made me think....
If the £4 digis are as accurate as dials and more expensive digi's, what the hell are you paying near £100 for Fox digis for...madness
And yes, I started carrying the cheap, and using them side by side, but the thought of them failing in the damp means I carry my dials too

For what I paid for the Wychwood ones, can't grumble, see how they go, surprisingly light too and a good size

Had digitals for years now and never felt comfortable with them got fox salter rapala and none feel right
Last year had a full over haul
Got fly weights for perch/tench bag
Avons for pike/carp bag
And specimens for anywhere I fish with fish up to 60lb
Feel at ease now

I have a set of the 120lb Ruben Heaton digitals - the out rubberised skin has gone all mouldy and hanging, and i have had to replace the wires for the battery as they for corroded. But 10 years later and they are still working great for me. Just makes it so much easier getting a weight when your on your own and have a lively fish.
Also due to my work I have calibrated weights, so test them and they have never been out in all the years I have used them

Exactly how my 60s have gone, apart from the function buttons knackered the whole casing has gong sticky, fish slime caused it???

Have either of you asked RH if they'd replace the case on a service?
I sent my dials off, the only thing they kept were the internals, replaced front & rear case & hook, think it was £25.
The rubber coating, is it the same as the Fox NTXRs, simple enough to remove, there's a topic on here about it, was it alcohol and it just wipes off, did mine dead easy.

I managed to destroy a set of reubens, long story.
Had an email chat with the hq, sent them off, and then got them back like new for £30.
