The old titan bivvy was awesome, same as the scopex squid liver boiles. Most things since has been pretty meh. You can't go on forever.
I watched a YouTube Avid "product release", 90% of it is exactly the same as Temu stuff in an slightly different colour and 5 times the price. No suprise some of these companies are struggling

There is speculation of an import duty being levied on the low cost items purchased from the likes of Temu, Aliexpress, etc. Personally, I don't have a problem cutting out the middleman and buying direct from China, rather than from someone who has done the same, but on a larger scale to sell on at a profit. Our tax hungry government doesn't see it that way though. Ultimately, everything is still going to made in Asia but we'll just be paying more for it.

I had quite a few Titans over the years. A '94, '97, Viper, Viper TTFS, Viper TTFS Chameleon and a T4000. The '97 model in slippery eel was by far the best. The winter skin for it was amazing, it just clipped onto rings on the feet at the end of the legs and didn't need any extra pegs, genius idea.
Thinking about it, other than the Titans, I've hardly bought anything else from Nash in over 35 years of carping!
Edit: only other thing I can think I've bought from Nash, is their Cling-on unleaded leader, which I still use now and have another 3 spools of.

I've still got my 93/94 titan it's never leaked like the later models, I still give it an airing once or twice a season, it's the one with silver poles, bit small now tho compared to current bivvys but the material on it is very good quality only downside it looks like a banana folded up compared to my tempest brolly lol

I bet Nash couldn't give one tbh.
Why would they want the hassle or rolling bait, market is far too competitive and profit margins will be crap compared to importing Chinese tackle
And, I have never had one problem with a Nash Bivvy

Say what you Say about Nash. But they have lead from the front innervation wise. Going right back to the mid 80 s. What you see most tackle manufacturers producing these days Nash were the first. Rod bags for made up Rods. Rucksacks designed for anglers. Brollys that actually covered your bed. Titan shelters, sleep systems, retractable rods.( every company produces something simular ) Luv em or hate them Nash have been a big part of the scene for a long time now. And it would be terrible for innovation if they were to disappear of the map completely.
Still haven't forgiven them though... for the bivvy runway, flower pot bivvy heaters and rear end rod cushion..

The original Titan's were hand made in the UK. To be fair to Nash they were making good kit. It was ruined when a certain company started outsourcing everything to China and trying to dominate the market. Other companies had no choice but to do the same to survive.
I've purchased quite a bit of the new Scope kit and I've been really impressed with the quality.
I think Nash will survive because they are innovative. Most manufacturers are just copying each other and therefore this is not sustainable.

We need Nash even if you don't like the gear. Big companies innovating and ensuring the market is competitive. It would be good if they got back to the really core business and stopped launching new ranges every month with tat products - wind beaks, paths and such cack.
When you look at the actual innovated products there are some superb ground breaking ideas along the way. Not a fan of the gangsta urban route they have taken but each to their own and I hope the live long and prosper.

And i confess, never saw the point in small rods. Just picked up a couple of 9 foot scopes that now live in my campervan all the time. Scope rucksack suits me perfect for my fishing bits, never took a lot of gear, sits a lot better on my back than the CA Vulpine too!

I agree.
Kevin has brought some innovative products to us all, an actual need, or a solution to a problem or issue that existed, or could be improved, not a want.... if you get what I mean.
A product that does actually make a genuine BETTER difference to our angling when we have used it.
Like the happy hooker, weigh slings & carp sacks, rod holdalls, bivvies, Profile oval brollies that covered the whole bedchair, slippery eel fabric, Titans, early lead clip/bolt beads, XT Line, those TT Bedchairs, twin tilt- for taller anglers.
