I've got loads of rods, way too many. For quite some time I've had it in mind to get to the stage where I have just the one set of rods for all eventualities. The Aviator Flex sounds like it might just fit the bill?

No such thing - Ideally.
You can do it but, even if you go half way, you'll be compromised, one way or the other. (lack of distance or lack of 'playing action' ) .
Depends on the Waters (range) you fish and the rules you're facing. (e.g Leaders etc. )

Tis true 👍 Even though I could get rods to cover all situations I couldn't justify the cost, so compromise it is for me, just like when I was younger and couldn't afford it, I've never felt left out or wishing, guess you get used to it.

Exactly - if you're not having to cast to showing fish at 120+ yards (or your max. capability) when you're faced with a no Braid, Leader \ tapered ban, then go with the compromise.

I see so many guys fishing with 3.5 TC Fast Taper Rods \ Big Pit Reels when they're fishing waters where max. cast is 70 yards.
Madness.

Multicarp and Baby Ballistas at one end of the spectrum and X-lite S's at the other (no out and out range rods). I think they might do what you're asking. Perhaps someone else will be able to chip in who's given them a bit more welly on the casting than me though. I think if the wind was low or favourable and I went down to 12lb mainline then 110 would be doable for me but I haven't tried it.
They are genuinely still nice to play a mid double on but the casting ability is so much crisper than a Ballista. Amongst the previous rods I've had where Baby Ballistas 3lb and normal Ballistas 2.75lb and even up to 70 yards or so I much prefer the Flex. Don't get me wrong the Ballistas were great to play fish on but I genuinely don't feel like I am missing them with the Flex, even fishing at 15/20 yards.

Having read all the comments i'm going to order a set. They sound ideal for what i need. Had some 2.5 baby ballistas that i always thought would stay as my go anywhere rods but they just needed a bit more backbone for a longer chuck so sold those a few months ago. Have some 3.5 s-lites too but going to get rid of those too and just have the flex's as go anywhere rods and my 9 foot scopes just for their compactness when i need to keep them in the car.

Hi Andy, my friend has the flex, I showed him your question, he's answer was they won't be comfortably hitting those distances, but he fishes 15lb straight through.
Fantastic rods, but you MIGHT be pushed at 110/20 imo.

I have the flex and am comfortable at those ranges with 15lb gr60 straight through
