Companies might be British but they all import gear thats made in China. Most of the so called manufacturers are no more than a warehouse waiting for shipment and then package/distribute to the shops.

When I was working at Gladwells we had parcels from Nash tackle delivered that had come into Felixstowe port straight to us in Ipswich. The boxes hadn't even been opened on arrival in UK, just sent straight out for onward delivery.
A fair number of items delivered were already damaged; rods, reels larger items.

If true good luck and happy retirement to Mr Nash. The brands been building over the last decade and if it builds on whats in place the future looks pretty bright from my perspective.
I have to disagree re Chinese crap. If the products are of poor quality its because it was specified to be that way by the purchaser, a fact often overlooked, too easy to blame the Chinese. Same re Carbon cloth, the Asian Market are leaders In that field now, its hardly a surprise most rods cloth comes from there.

Most likely T or they didn't specify at all. Some of my friends* are go betweens for English companies and Chinese manufacturing hubs. Speaking to them has opened my eyes to the excuses people laud on Chinese manufacturing.
Basically if you specify it they can make it to the same standards western manufacturers do but cheaper due to labour costs.
Interestingly (to me anyway) is that there's not that much difference in costs for a specified product compared to the west, obviously labour is cheaper though.

I think Kevin Nash has contributed massively to Carp fishing a very successful skilled angler often thinking outside the box and bought out very good well thought out products with his range of beds shelters and alarms to mention a few things
there has been the normal pathetic slagging remarks of course but you get these morons slagging virtually every manufacturer so its pinch of salt really
as a company it did go down hill with the young lads he employed and daft ideas a black bivvy ?
black baiting needles great idea finding that in the dark wot total muppet dreamt that up ? and of course cutting costs with poorer materials didnt help
