Yes ... People raved about Cyprinus .... Mainly slagging Trakker/Aqua because they were double the price. So there were some really smug people around at the time. I think they changed when they started introducing the Tempest copies and moving away from brollies and pramhoods. There prices jumped considerably at this time aswell.

Last email I had from them was end of November promoting their Black Friday event,it now comes up as page not found error 404,I only had a bedchair from them as my wide boy broke it's a 5 season one that's got no adjuster on it for the head part and the mattress is uncomfortable,so what I do is lie in one layer until I can get a right size camping mattress to fit it and put my peach skin cover over it with no issues.
Oh and pillow is crap that's next on my list to replace.

Post 3 is correct ..... 
I have had 2 bivvys from them and both have been absolutely fine. M4 2 man which I have had for 4 years with Lots of use and a nylon Typhoon Storm for a year which is all I used this year and again its been spot on........

I have an M4 aswell (2man) ... Certainly good value in comparison to the Aqua version.

I've had a fast and light from them for years. It's had a proper battering and I've never had an issue with it. Got a wrap for it which is also spot on. I also had an M4 with a wrap and that was an excellent bit of kit with no issues. My current tempest skull cap came from them as well. Again no issues. I can't comment on the recent stuff but when I bought the brolly for instance I think I paid less than £80 for it and at the time the Aqua was £300 I think.
I hope those who are owed money get it back. I just wanted to point out that certainly at the start their gear was as good a quality as anyone elses and the brolly I still use and I lent it to a mate of mine who did a full season under it a couple of years ago and it's still going strong and it's a good few years old now.
My guess is that they sold stuff cheap, so they had small margins and needed to sell in volume to sustain the business. Once the price of everything went up they probably couldn't under cut the big boys by enough to make it viable anymore. Shame as the big manufacturers are pricing a lot of new comers and guys on a budget out of the hobby. There's a need for a company that sells half decent gear that's not £1000 a bivvy. When I started carp fishing was a cheap hobby, tackle was cheap, tickets were cheap, waters were accessible to the average man, it was an every man's hobby. Now it seems you need to be earning serious money to kit yourself out with anything half decent.

The only thing I've had from them is a skull cap for a Trakker bivvy, had it 18 months and it's been fine. £80 compared to £130-ish from Trakker. There's loads of posts on here saying that their stuff is made in the same factory as Trakker, but it's loads cheaper. Think that's why I bought it.

I had a Brolly mk2 fast n light. The box it came in said aqua on it. Nice bit of kit but poor design on the folding ribs. Started getting pin holes loads of them. I bought some velcro covers for them. Apart from the pin holes the frame and brolly has been brilliant. But I do think these were Aqua seconds and not copies.

What about the posts where Cyprinus bivvys have turned up delivered in Aqua boxes ?
There's a Nash video on youtube where he talks in depth about the Titan, he said they were originally made in UK, and to a high quality and specification, when this became more and more harder to achieve as UK companies went under largely due to cheaper sourced products from tingtong land, and he resisted as long as was possible before doing the same, he reckoned the first batches were abysmal, cheap rubbish totally unfit for purpose, and quality control was non existent, many had zips fitted upside down, panels inside out, total rubbish,
It took around two years to find a supplier/manufacturer good enough to supply a product good enough to sell on the open market.
this might explain why earlier Titans were praised, and the later versions don't seem to have the same "cult" following, even more so with the current competition, some of which are proving very well made and popular, I wonder if Cyprinus used some of those lesser quality materials and factories in an effort to keep prices low, an idea that long term was to signal their demise.

Whether or not it was the same as an Aqua F&L I can't confirm as I didn't use it in the end. You don't hear too many complaints about the F&L or the M4 that was available about the same time so it's possible they were Aqua stock rebadged.
Cyprinus then moved away from the Aqua seconds/rip off rebadging and tried to copy the tempest/titan type block bivvies. It's these that are now falling apart 12-24 months later after everyone saying how great they were and that the likes of Aqua and Trakker were finished.

I'm sure nash had quality issues with one of their new bivvies a few years back think it was the hide,the first shipment all got sent back

My mate has the cyprinus max headroom typhoon in ripstop and loves it. 3 years on its still perfect.
I never used them but Shame they went bust. China is causing a lot of supply problems in different industry.

I hate to say it but in the last few years we've had a lot of cheap bait boats from China, won't be long before one of those manufacturers disappears.
