Used the Sticky Baits 11mm Krill Floater pellets. They worked a treat and not too expensive from Go Outdoors, with my discount just over £10 for 3 kilos.

I've switched to using 11mm floating pellets off eBay, cheap enough. My old faithful fake mixer with the little weight in so the hook is on the top. In the right situation, I don't even use any loose feed. Has worked a treat for years. I don't subscribe to this “get them feeding” malarkey, it's quite possible to catch a single fish if you put the bait in the right place, they're quite stupid fish and will happily slurp a rubber mixer for apparently no reason in my experience.
Alternatively, if they're close in, you just cannot beat a bit of freelined crusty bread. Doesn't get any simpler than that. You just have to be stealthy lol.
I haven't done any fishing behind buzzers yet this season, just the odd few hours here and there, wandering around looking for fish, if I don't find any then it's not a problem, beats working that's for sure

If you can find them "Purina Bakers Meaty Meals" Small Dog with Beef, are good.
Last time i got them was from Tesco's.

I'll also second the Sticky Krill Floating Pellets, i usually start with a smaller size pellet (6mm) to get them going, and then I start adding the 11mm's.

I did try marshmallows some years ago, although they worked to a certain extent, I was not impressed. Bread and mixers especially flavoured ones were more successful at the time.

I have the same problem with peperamim. I've almost given up using it, 1piece for the fish rest for me.

I remember reading an article from Bryan Jarrett maybe? He used a sticky sugar puff mix on a homemade cork controller and moulded it around the float with a few sugar puffs on the hook. I tried it a few times and on heavy stocked venues was a great tactic. Wish I could find it as I still have a controller that I made.

Are these the dried ones? The ones I tried were very light and needed to be spodded out, catapult range was only a couple of rod lengths.
I also made boilies using them ground up, put a bit much in the first batch and they floated. I did catch on them, can't remember why I gave up on it, probably the expense, I still think it could be a very usefull ingredient with a bit of research.

Looking at the ingredients and wot not I've always been tempted by ferret food, never quite hot round to it though.
