Rods look a bit more "Dwarf" than "Scope"..........really like the quiver and sleeves though.

I've owned free spirit es, xs and hi's, all can be scratched, if perdurable was significantly better than a matt resin the likes of century, Harrison, esp etc would have adopted it.

Isn't it just bare carbon without any varnish? I have spinning rods like that and have always had ground carbon harrisons too. Did tackle box ‘develop' bare carbon blanks in the same way Kevin Nash invented the twin skinned tent lol
Nash still have the best retractable rod range IMO. Was looking forward to these but I'll go for something else I reckon.

Agree that can be scratched but always seems significantly less. The chiltern custom compact rods someone posted the other day look very nice.
Apart from the crap tip eyes I still can't fault my mk2 scopes

These rods are at the right price for the standard of rod same as sonik xtractor not pretending to be a top end rod priced right for what they are unlike scopes at double the price

agreed, but I think ESP missed a trick here .... They have an excellent track record for rods and they should of gone for something more premium

Probably sell a shed load of these cheaper ones then conveniently release a higher spec model. I'm sure Cotswold and sonik both did this, nash missed a trick and did it in reverse didn't they?
