I have had a couple of goes on the carp giveaways one. I only do the mini comps and only the ones that are between 99p to £2 I only do the ones that I want to win with decent odds on winning to.

I've won a few things on raffles and If I totalled up the amount I'd spent on tickets, it would still be WELL under the price of the stuff I had won. Set of TXI-D's, Indulgence MF60 and SS3 Wideboy and about £600 worth of various other bits too. Each to their own of course, I do not expect everyone would like them but to say the people are scammers is just stupid, nothing scamming about it Blankosaurus

Well clearly there are people out there who have jumped on the band wagon and are running dodgy raffles, cos I didn't make up the phone call did I. All I was saying was be careful. Maybe don't take each one at face value.

As you say be careful. Definitely too many suspicious ones about for me to take a chance. Highly unlikely that even the genuine ones make a loss, the odds will always be in their favour.
On a lighter note my wife seems to have the lucky gene, we went to a high end watch presentation on a cruise and there was a free draw for a watch that my wife won. Another cruise she bought 5 tickets and won three prizes, she was a bit embarrassed about that one.

I think they are classed as lotteries and have to comply with the rules and regs set out
Is it any different to the national lottery
Pay a quid get 6 numbers right for what 4 million quid
I'm sure the national lottery make a bucket load of cash out of what they are doing but no one moans about that.

I know the guy running it has already said some of the profits are going to charities and to help getting kids into fishing

I'll see what I can do but don't go putting your name down for a ferrari on the strength of it.
The problem is she only likes high end functions so her winnings don't come close to the cost of getting her there. Now if you were to send her on a cruise..........

I won a Carplounge RT4 a little while ago and nope, I've not spent £3k on tickets in the raffle.

As long as you keep this stuff in control and just spend extra money on it then it's no harm.
