Entering a cash prize lottery is totally different than entering a contest for a physical item.
As for the other posting here backing up OP's idea to sell these reels: you all seriously lack morals, integrity and ethics. No wonder we're in the societal decay that is so evident all around. Angling direct would have got hits on the website and the sales that go with that.
Shimano donate the reels and Angling Direct plug them as part of the competition.
OP bothers to enter the competition (most people wouldn't) and wins. He sells, the buyer gets some brand new reels for a better price and the OP has the cash to keep him going while looking for a new job.
