The problem is lots of places are taking orders but not fulfilling till end of this month.
When you think how much a lake changes throughout the year with weed growth etc getting a good detailed meaningful review from a uk user will take months.

I had a quick play earlier today.... This shows a patch of weed with the AI fish icons both on and off, which should capture the bulk of the features across two simple screenshots! How you use them, is of course up to you.
As if stands, I'm not completely sold on the weed mapping being worth the upgrade for chirp3 user's

You could always use an old technology called watercraft instead and spend the money on something important?

Had another quick go earlier today, nothing different to report and I'm still unsold on the AI weed/fish features being worth it for existing users contemplating upgrading.
Connectivity was still great at approx 120yards, just with a phone and the deeper itself.

I like the idea of this - will explain
I’ve very limited time fishing and having to constantly thrash the water to find holes in the weed I feel is counter productive as I’m not staying in the swim for 24 or even 8 hours so I like the idea of finding a hole dropping rig/bait with a bushwhacker but £350 is a lot unless it actually delivers

I still don't think it's worth it.
Sure... It finds weed, but it's very inaccurate. I have patches of lake that I KNOW are 'weedy' yet, they fail to show on the deeper 'weed map'. Perhaps if you had really dense beds of Canadian it might be different, but I'm talking about things like eel grass, and other generic pondweed
You can see them on the live scan (just the same as previous models)
Here's an example, you can obviously see there is a few feet of weed yet the 'weed map' hasn't picked it up (as shown in green like in other areas of the lake)

That pretty much sums up what I saw on a YouTube vid a couple of weeks ago. The chap was casting it over a weed bed, you could see it in the water, but it wasn't showing on the screen.

FWIW I also think the AI fish detection, is a crock of s***
Not that I bought it for that reason, but worth mentioning. It massively overestimates!
I bought it as a cheap way to Bathymetrically map, an old estate lake which has little to no history about it. It's served it's purpose for that.
