Anyone used Mirage Baits? Tempted to give them a try after listening to his recent The Carp Cast podcast. Prices seem good, don't want a cheap bait though.

Marcus knows his bait, use with confidence.
Cheaper, is not always bad. He can sell at nicer prices because of the sheer volume amount he makes.
He makes his own range of baits,
The Reservoir Specials,
and rolls for lots of other companies, and has worked for some of the biggest in the past.

Reservoir specials are what turned into the source by Dynamite. I think it has a different attractor package. It used to be called resource which I thought was very cunning, but reverted back to it's original name.

I used the res specials last year and did very well on it, the fish loved it. I'll be putting a big order in soon.

Has anyone used The Smell. I fish waters that have seen a lot of Cell but can't bring myself to use it myself!

It's either the esterblend or the smell. Like you, I don't want to buy cell, not a fan of mainline.

Ressi special is my main bait ,I've done very well on it ..
You'll need a pot of Hard hookers if you plan to leave your baits out for any length of time ,as the actual baits get hammered by small fish..
I use the 10mm for roach ,swingtip and straight lead ,also good ..
My son uses the smell,and when he does actually go,he's done excellent on it,and over in France ..
I've known Marcus for years,so I just go up to the factory when I'm out shopping ,the team bait is also good ,as our other mate has done good things on it ..

Yes ,had a one off made for me ,one of the last remaining Northwestern 1lb tc spigoted blanks in the UK ,brand new ..9ft..
It's a brilliant ,brilliant underused method the amount of fish I've had using a so called old skool forgotten method is unreal ....
Use a medium drennan swingtip ,that I bought from Gerrys of Wimbledon approx 45 yrs ago ,as no tackleshops here ...mail order, remember mother speaking to Clive on the phone..
Good memories of better ,much better times 😂

It's based on the Source ,but even today's latest incantation is not like the very first batches of RS ,that I first tried at Bait Bunker ,I believe some ingredients have been unobtainable or some such..
There was a bit of controversial,stuff around it at one time,Dynamite baits etc ,I laugh like he'll when people say the 'messiah ' designed it ...oh dear .!
It's still a brilliant bait or I'd not use it ,put it this way, Ken told me he'd be happy to use any of Marcus's stuff ,so that's a good recommendation..
