I'm due to get some new leadfree leader material soon.What are people's go to for supple and heavy leaders?Also easy to slplice.I can't remember what I used last but it was good,I'd use that again if I could be sure..think it was Avid pindown?

nash cling on is alright stuff, stays nice and dark. used fox as well but found this harder to splice than the nash stuff

Like the Fox and the Gardener stuff, both decent. Found the fox more tricky to splice but I did not use the Fox needle

Pb products silkray is my favourite and splices well.

Recently been using Nash Cling-on Leadfree leaders in 40lb Silt in mini lengths for pre-made PVA bags - very supple but fiddly to splice (inserting the crook of the needle rather than removing) as the braid is finer than my usual ESP leadcore

Been using Nash Cling-On in 40lb for 3 seasons now and love the stuff, especially in silt. Post COVID it was a little harder to find it so have used the Thinking Anglers equivalent which is also good. The latter is a little easier to splice in my opinion.

Get yourself a Fox easy splice needle,they are superb

Not only for splicing, comes in handy for threading line through hooks and thin tail rubbers.

I use the ESP leadcore and remove the lead.

I've been using the Gsrdner Camflex as a substitute the last few years and it's been really good
So much so I'm unlikely to go back to leadcore

Do you think this affects the breaking strain or is irrelevant? If the fibres aren't treated how do you know it sinks etc?

I've used the avid pindown, pb silkray and one from an poleposition.
Didn't like how the pb silkray splices and prefer avid or poleposition lead free leaders

Nash cling on is superb 👍 I use 40lb silt
