I have a cyprinus Typhoon MH Bivvy which now has hundreds of tiny holes appearing all over the bivvy fabric in the DPM version after just over a year and it is starring to let water in. I have noticed the seams starting to have gaps appear as well.
I have spoken to Cyprinus whose response was to initially ghost me for a week and then block me from their messenger, social media page and website - Talk about customer service!!!
I cant really afford a new bivvy and do otherwise like the bivvy so was thinking, could I add a coating of something like Fabsil gold? To block the holes up? Or would this mess with the breathability of the fabric? It's a 20hh material.
I must admit I am surprised by Cyprinus as I thought their customer service was gd and I previously owned a Typhoon standard without issue. It appears a major flaw with the DPM version fabric. Do not buy it!! Sorry cyprinus, but if you're not going to help me, I will spread the news. It would make sense as to why they are currently selling at half price on their site.

There is a care and maintenance section on the website..
Hearing they have problems,if you click on some of the pages they don't come up any longer, there is a thread on third page in ,on tackle section

Fabsil is good stuff and I keep my brolly and bivvy in good condition by applying some whenever they start to let water cling to the outer fabric rather that actually repel it.
However good it is, it isn't going to rectify holes and splits in the outer fabric.

Have read the care section on their site, so can use the trakker re-seal fabsil type stuff.
I also have the skull cap but the issue is below that.
They blocked me on messenger and their Facebook page at the same time all of their website which is linked has stopped being available, thsts more than a coincidence for me.
I have also sent them an email, since that is now the only method of communication I have left.
Would love to post the pics on here to show you, it's actually a little unbelievable.

Clearly there is something seriously amiss with this company?
recently on another thread someone has purchased from them and received nothing, the website is impossible to navigate or view any products, other media sources have been disabled or shut down.
in addition there seem to be a few folks experiencing quality issues and getting no help or customer service whatsoever.

I was going to buy a second hand but 'as new' cyprinus bivvy from a guy.
We set up and the fabric had different coloured panels on the inside of the dpm outer.
Some of the panels were dark but the light ones were very thin and almost semi transparent. So to say they were 20,000 hh must only be down to the waterproof coating on the poor material.
In your case I wouldn't worry about whether any new coating will affect the breathability as I doubt the hydrostatic rating means anything worthwhile.

How did you pay, if by card I would get in contact, the goods are obviously not fit for purpose. This is why I pay for anything I buy that's over £100 with a credit card.
