I never thought I would ever post in this section, but here we are!
will royal mail be with us in 2023?
I'm amazed retailers and other are still sending stuff from this rapidly more unreliable outfit.
speaking to posties around me indicate they are not generally in favour of strike action, but feel the company is being made to fail and asset stripped before the end, thus avoiding big redundancy payouts and pension commitments.
except of course for the top echelons.
I would welcome any opinions but do not seek to vilify any posties that may be forum members.

Never thought i'd see the day when the average working person would find themselves in poverty. A down right national scandal and a downright disgrace.

Our Royal Mail members have also voted by 98.7% on a 72.2% turnout for strike action in defence of our Pathway to Change national agreement.
I know a couple of posties, they work their backsides off and deserve far better than they're getting. Just like the nurses, firemen, teachers etc etc.

Ordered several items over the past few weeks in the knowledge that those companies i have ordered from use Royal Mail. They inform the Customer of potential delays due to strikes and i guess in a way they're supportive of them getting a fair deal too. I suppose that way they can also gauge the support or lack of for them.
What an absolute 5h1t show of a mess that this government has bought this country to.

I doubt we'd see as much bed wetting if say Yodel came out on strike.

Anyone that's suffering from poor working conditions and sh*te pay deserve better.
What bed wetting is going on? Obviously excluding your own Sunday night escapades.

Anyone with **** pay and poor working conditions can get another job if they don't like it.
As in any industry or business if things are that bad then the headline would be about them having no staff or at least struggling to employ people.
Good luck to them, not coming out of the tax payers purse is it.

They had to fight hard for it too.
The headline doesn't tell the whole story in terms of the hourly rate and the way they do - eventually- get paid when cases complete.
Royal mail staff are also deserving of a pay rise IMHO
The sell off was a joke and the CEO is another selfish greedy git who would probably be in the 'if you don't like it, go get another job' camp. Which of course is just bullying in another form.

Lots of businesses are having to adjust to pre pandemic levels you can see profits up in the last two years but the leaders know the business has to modernise as many facets are on a downward trend.
And they have to look after their shareholders

What about the pension companies that own millions of shares who's dividends go to pay our pensioners?
