RG Baits do a fishy plum flavoured one with Robin Red - The Formula Red + Plum. Haven't used it, but would have confidence in anything RG churn out.

Also DT Baits do one, they usually make decent baits. Supa Fruit but again, haven't tried it.

Would be my plan as well. A stinker of a fishmeal bait could do great

Lesmont

I would use a good Fishmeal bait anytime of the year, I've tried over the years with birdfoods, nut based baits etc.. but always done better with fishmeals, this one from Lesmont was caught on Quality baits Patshull Park squid and orange 3rd week of December, the only fish out that week it was bitterly cold, never rated the Live system myself but use what your confident in.

The problem with LS, is that it has changed several times since it was first available in the very late 90s. Why the Live? Because the first version was made using a live yeast paste that came in slabs and had to be refrigerated. Hence why even then, if you bought the base mix, you could never get it the same as the original freezer readymades. That first version was far more rich dairy/Milky, than the stuff you get now, which is full of cheap micronised cereals.
The original was a very good bait. The stuff of the last few years, average at best.

Totally agree about Live System. Loved it when it came out, thought I'd give it another go a couple of years ago and its a different bait. It's a shame about CCM, they don't actually make a bait I would use anymore.

I used to love Equinox. Did really well on it and the Golden Spice pop ups that they have also stopped doing. Stopped buying CC Moore at that point as they also changed XXX and I lost confidence in what they were producing
