I'd say the Bluebell Nederlanders earn far more. I dread to think what they take in a year over there.

This one has been bought in as the main draw in a couple of very profitable commercial operations in different parts of the country for must be nearly 20 years though mate.
As it's the equivalent of Rebekah Vardy regards never missing a photo opportunity, it's earnings v transfer price must be huge.

Looks like it was sold from Pendle view in 2016 and it had broken the 50 barrier when it was sold on...
Be interested to know the figure it went for? Risk moving a fish that size...obviously it worked out fine

Girton down at Newark , Measles and Tutti also went down there , both 40's them 2 , I used to do the odd weekend on Pendle long time ago , I lost one of them big commons snagged me on the old trout staging , was gutted at the time as Butt head was around 40lb then

Think it was a scraper 20 when it made the trip across the channel iirc. Definitely used too being handled and traveling around

OK, I'll bite.... it was brought into the country a long time ago and has grown on to be a magnificent fish. What's wrong with that?
Mary was moved to Wraysbury from her original home as a low twenty before becoming a record fish.
Does the origin of the fish make it any easier to catch?

Nicely done video. The captor doesn't explain the fish was imported from Holland @20+ although he knows. It was part of an imported batch that went into a couple of NW waters that I know. Far as I'm aware all the others have long gone. Maybe one that could be still around but I'm not sure.

My interpretation of this thread was that it was all pretty positive? A hell of a fish whatever the history, and the back story adds to it a bit for me. Everyone loves a journeyman. Dippy anyone?!
