Other than the bushwhacker which is a bit pricey for me... Any others I should have a look at?

I've got a 12m telescopic version. I like the simplicity of it and the lack of poles strewn over the floor. Does the job when fishing close in under canopies. Personally, wish I had gone for the 18m version.

I've had a Corus 12m now for a couple of years, have used fairly regularly and I'm very pleased with it.
If you shop around you can get for £90 or so.

Don't get an 18m telescopic corus. I've got one and it's a nightmare. Sections can spin inside each other when extended meaning you can't tip the contents of the spoon out.

I got a Johnson Ross branded one £80 from memory bought a trakker net float and Gardner spoon separate making it £100 all in.
It's a put over pole and I've been pretty happy with it when I've used it.

I have a 12m Tackle Box telescopic pole, it's easy to use and has caught me some nice fish.
I still use my 3m telescopic landing net handle the most but there is a trend to go further and I've heard a few horror stories due to misuse.

I would make one, if you have the time and inclination.
the utube video where the guy uses conduit and stud clips makes a very useable pole at the fraction of the price, I made one and it works very well.
The original video he uses screw fittings which I did also, however these are a pain to put together and quickly become loose, the stud fitting are very good and do the job well .
I don't use a pole as a matter of course but in the right circumstances they can be a game changer and put lots of extra fish on the bank.

I'm pretty sure that Corus don't make an 18m telescopic pole. The first two sections are telescopic, the rest are take-apart.

I have the 18m Tackle box telescopic and would recommend. They take a bit of getting use to but are really great pieces of kit.
