Anyone got one of the cheaper carbon throwing sticks and can verify if they are any good? Looking for one under £60 to £70, Gardner Pro Pela or Scorpion, or perhaps the JRC or cheaper NGT one.
Not looking at the really expensive ones as don't have that kind of money and surely if the carbon ones are worth getting, then a cheaper variant should suffice.

If I was in the market for a carbon stick I'd hunt out a Diawa stick, I have an ACE and it's good to 110 yards the daiwa is Better and around £80 having had a brief look you may get it cheaper

I've got the NGT one and it's fine. Prior to this, had the NGT plastic one and that was fine too.

I have a cobra stick for 30 years and that is fine for 80 yards pound for pound it's the ace lagging behind the Daiwa stick imho both sticks achieve 110 yards the Diawa is the better stick by far in the right hands hitting 130. It's RRP was £130 now around the £80 Mark well worth considering

I've got the daiwa infinity and fox r20, for speed of putting bait out the fox is better due to the loading port but the infinity will go further. I'm thinking about getting the r25 for larger 24mm baits but have been told I won't get further with it due to the increased surface area of the bait.

Had most sticks around a dozen best ever was Diawa infinity went the furthest followed by a Solar sharpshooter very very close second but sold them all
and only kept the HARRISON CARBON THROWING STICK its a straight stick not sure if they are still made but it was only about £40 (( unlike my Diawa infinity that with the optional carry case cost me £152 !))
I found the harrison the most accurate stick I have ever used not a long range stick by any means but lethally accurate up to around 85- 100 yards max (see the video link below)
the other stick I hear people rave on about is the Diem /NGT stick never seen one but seen lots of glowing reports
the one that people slag off the most is the ridge monkey probably best to swerve that one

I have two, cost wise one from each end of the market, a ngt one and a diawa, the diawa I would say is definitely better but not by much. The ngt is the same model as the Gardner only £40 cheaper.
If absolute maximum range is important I'd go for the diawa every time, but for most situations the ngt is fantastic.

I'm crap with a throwing stick and even crappier with my SharpShooter, I know there's a knack but I just can't get on with it.
