Hi all. Knocked up a birdfood recipe over the last few weeks, nothing revolutionary but on paper it looks pretty good, fancied a birdfood as lots of people seem to be using fishmeals or nut baits and i just like to be different lol.
Ive decided to use a chocolate malt flavour with a sweet orange eo, not very imaginative but sounds nice. But i was wondering if anyone had come across a cream type taste enhancer of some sort or would a sweetner be best?
Hopefully someone can help 👍

I use a product called lactosestim from a Dutch company Feed Stimulants, they have a UK supplier called Baitwize UK.I find it a more subtle smell than the milk b+ type additives that a lot of companies sell.

I use a vanillin powder at very low levels and the most creamy cream flavour to get a smooth creamy note to a boilie. A mil of liquid sweetener is also a nice touch

Cheers for the responses blokes, i should have added i have vanilla milk powder from baf in the mix too which, thinking about it will probably do the job anyway. What type of sweetener would you recommend?

look up Essential Baits, DT Baits and Premier

they all sell cream powder additives that will fit the bill.

I'm using Premier's Aminos with no added flavour apart from their cream stimulant, it's got a few natural extracts and powders in it, to me it smells of success but I have been using it since ‘95... total confidence in a bait that just keeps on working. Well worth an investigation I'd say 👍

Creamstim is a nice additive. Definitely worth it if your lake is silty. It is not sweet to the taste however. Best one I ever found was the DD Buttercake powder... Very different to others, more of a scopex smell and taste. Unfortunately not available any longer.

Yeah custom made to my requirements, I have total and I mean total confidence in the bait, if I don't catch I'm not I'm the right spot..... rigs? if the hooks sharp I'll catch them. I'm on my last season on my current venue, 3 years in baring lockdowns etc. this year on my own I've landed a 1/3 of all fish in a 30 man syndicate. Yes I've put the hours in walking the place, baiting and fishing but I haven't put in as much time as the other 2/3 rods of the members that's for sure. There isn't a magic bait or rig, the only ingredient you need is complete and utter confidence.....
