Hi,
I have finally decided to get a third rod and reel for the upcoming season and now need to purchase a set of 3 rod buzzbars to go with my current STAINLESS set up.
my 2 rod set up is Wychwood Maximiser i believe, but looks like that has been discontinued
Can anyone recommend a set of 3 rod stainless buzzbars which are reasonable quality, but aren't going to cost a fortune? I don't want ultra snug bars as i do not fold my handles, but want them to look fairly tight and neat

You could see if you could find some chub ones, They are getting rid of all their stuff cheap because of a rebrand

always plenty of second hand buzzbars on ebay.
Solar stainless is bulletproof and can you can pick up a pair for under £30. If you can get the adjustable ones even better as they pack down small but can be extended when fishing if you prefer that

Chub is no more.
They are owned by the same people who own JRC, and it doesn't make sense having 2 brands so similar.

Here's another thought for you mate...
How about NOT getting a three rod buzz bar,now,the reason I mentioned this is because three rods,on buzz bars can detract from the enjoyment of playing the fish,especially when it's dark,and that middle rods gone off,..in it comes,its yr PB,the legs go all wobbly...!..and bang yove caught up with the other line,....the other rods all tangled...then cos your all of adoo dah,the hook pulls,and that beautiful 20 blanker sess,previous slips away..
Alternatively..
Fish two plus one,you'll fish much more savvy,and be able to point a single rod in what ever direction is needed at that time..I HAD three rod buzz bars,I dont have three rod buzz bars now,but for over 30 yrs i have been two plus one,best move you'll make...

Think I have to agree with wandle, either 2+1 or even 3 separate on banksticks only.
If you do decide on a 3 rod buzbar, wouldn't even bother with a brand, I bought some cheap unbranded ones and they lasted ages. In fact, they're still good, just don't use them now. And likewise my son, he had some cheap ones which are still going strong. Save your money and spend it on something that will catch you more fish!! A branded expensive buzbar won't.

I had contemplated that. It was either buy another set of sticks or 3 rod bars
I will end up with both, just depends on which set up to get first..

Just be dictated by your own personal style of fishing mate..
If it helps I use Solar original stainless,fixed buzz bars,and four 12 inch bank sticks,its not a heavy set up and will out live me for sure..
If ground is mega hard I got an original sod pod,this works best with two buzz bars any way...I cant think of any where I have not been able to get a pair of single bank sticks in,if I couldn't, I'm not fussed...no dramas then I'd fish two rods,not a deal breaker....
Like I said,best thing I ever did two,plus one,the amount of choice you get this way negates three rods on a pod,buzzbars by a country mile..

New question - would you say 9 inch rear buzz bar would be too tight for 3 smallish big pit reels and no folded handles?
I don't mind having to squeeze reels in between each other

Okay great. I am currently waiting on a set of 3 Daiwa Emcast 25a to come back into stock and they will be what I'm using.
I think the 9 inch rear may be just too small, but if you can check that would be good

You could ask the defiant one on here to make you a set of titanium ones to whatever width you want
Put the reels on the rods and space them out to whatever distance you want them to be and he will make them for you at that
Then Do the same with the front and get the splay you want then

Will do, got some 9" buzzbars so I'll best em up in the garden. Looks narrow though, but I'll let you know tomorrow. No need to remind me, got all the stuff scattered out by the backdoor.
