Hello everyone. Looking to buy a rod pod, or a set of banksticks and buzzbars, plus a stage stand. Anyone have any recommendations for any good pods or a good set of banksticks? My budget is around £50. Any good ones around that price? Thank you!

good luck for £50.. save up get a 2nd hand stainless worldwide pod it will last a life time and cover every situation you ever need....some bits of kit that are used every session aren't worth scrimping on ... just an opinion and I wish you well with your search.

Something like a second hand fox X-pod, or fox stalker would be within your budget if you can find one. They're pretty bullet proof.
No idea why someone is recommending a solar worldwide - yes they're a great pod but will be closer to £250 second hand.
Don't be tempted to buy a cheap brand new one you won't get much for £50 even if it looks good, it won't be.

Little bit over the £50 but I purchased the Saber Terrain Pod/Banksticks.
If I'm honest I didn't expect them to be of top quality but can safely say I was very surprised.
Excellent bit of kit and purchased by an offer on ebay brand new for £85.
They're that light the postman delivered them by hand!

That actually looks okay, nice feature that it can be used as banksticks and a pod, as well as the stabiliser. Will have a look around for one.

3 years ago bought a cheap 3 rod alloy pod to fish a water with impossibly hard banks. 3 years later, still using it regularly with no issues. Will take 3 big pit reels. Leeda Rogue pod 59.95 on Amazon right now.

I've had a look around, and found a few good second hand options, and also some others that caught my eye. The second hand ones I was looking at were a fox x pod, and then a few other Quattro's. But then whilst searching I saw the fox eos pod, so quite a few options. Anyone used any of these models?

Fox x pod is bulletproof good pod the eos is ok it's the old stalker pod re badged I think legs don't adjust the stalker plus is good comes with two and three rod buzz bars adjustable legs and a case

I have a quattro pod, good design, built to last, very light if i remember correctly I used to put a peg in the ground and tie it off onto the peg so it didnt get dragged in. The banksticks are slightly different diameter to the standard fox ones so be careful if you buy a second hand pod with no sticks it might not be easy to replace them..

Do you think it would be ok to use a pod? Much of the reason i'm looking for a pod is that there are some wooden platforms on my fishery, and if the fish are showing in that swim then I need to be able to put my rods there!

Unless you're having to fish locked up then a pod should be ok. Good idea to tie it down just in case though. If you can get a complete Quattro pod for £50 do it.

yep, pods are ok just lash em down if your a heavy sleeper etc. I personally like a goal post set up with the butt ring behind the alarm , Id die of embaresment if the pod got dragged in. Ive seen rods pulled in so i always lash the pod down or even use one stage stand on a leg of the pod if im there for a while and its on a platform. Also platforms tend to be narrow so if your there overnight give a bit of thought as to where you put it so you can play the fish without tripping over your set up

. . .fox quattro / x pod legs are same diameter as euro / cam banksticks & storm poles which as far as I'm aware are still readily available? Smallest size is 12" though . . .

Not a problem for me as the water I'm fishing is a day only. So won't need to worry about lashing it down. Just need to keep my eyes on it though!
