I'm assuming most lakes are completely closed for fishing and this may be for some time. Curious how you think this will effect the fishing when we can return.
As we know spring can be the best time of year when they start feeding. Do you think we may miss that or are lakes on a pause button so to speak.

A few of us on here can remember the old close season
Weeks of freezing over then the thaw and floods then spawning didn't leave much Time between winter and June anyway
We'll manage (I think ) lol
I think it will be ok if the venue owners can get through it

Thing with the close season is you knew when it started and you knew when it finished, that's not the case now. It's the not knowing that I find hard.
Also you could walk most lakes and feed/ watch the fish, which sort of helped the fishing fix...
I guess if we are able to fish in June, we'll of missed that spring madness..

Some ****s were out fishing at willows in St Albans yesterday or the day before as the owner hasn't shut!!

It may well be duffers fortnight for carp. Those who can get in early will fill their boots.

Probabaly make it better fishing when we go back , as said i remember the old close season , but even then you could do the any method trout fishing lol , we will live and the fish will still be there when we get back , i hope you all manage to get back.

The “any method“ was later on though,
Most “normal anglers went over to fluff flinging for the Shut down
And the trout anglers couldn't wait for the coarse season to start so they could have their waters back 😂

There is a manor fishing lake down by mine in the forest as i ,ive in the mountains Very hard waters and peacfull not alot Knows about the lake as in Locals not talking Outsiders. Many 30,s there which is still open you phone the owner and pay over phone but i stay indoors

Heard some of the carp at linear are forming queues 2 meters apart waiting for anglers to return some are even banking themselves and taking selfies as part of their daily routine
