PVA bait stringer a good bet still...

I have some coppers PVA string I brought during covid... take it that it lasts..

Love a stringer me!
I've never found pva string to go off, but there again I've never probably owned the same spool for more than a couple of years at most, as I've always used it up by then.
I tend to keep away from the cheaper stuff and prefer the cord type of string, rather than the webbing type or tape type.
My go to was always Kryston Meltdown back in the day, but more recently Korda eazi-melt braided pva string.

Caught more carp on boilie stringers than anything. Rarely cast out with out some form of stringer or mesh bag of boulies when fishing bottom baits.

If your old enought to remember the original Gardner PVA Boilie string. It used to come loose twisted together. The trick was to unravel it and stretch it to breaking so you got more string for your money..

These days I tend to use the tape. Find the boilies sit tighter on it. Unlikely to fly of on the cast.

Kept dry you shouldn't have any issues with it..

No,no stringers do not work at all...its the worst edge you can have ,no one uses them today ,cos they have no place in carp angling ,especially amongst the younger ones ,just stick with yer bait boats and tech ...

Totally agree.

Only use a stringer if you want your mates to laugh at you and your old codger technique. What little reputation you had before asking such a silly question is now in tatters....tow the line

I use them a lot in my Barbel fishing. A bit OCD, but I only ever put five boilies on the stringer.
I also use a paste wrapped gripper lead as well.

We'll be using the greedy pig rig next……

Whats a stringer?

Anyone else old enough to remember using PVA glue spread on plastic sheet until dry then cutting strips off to use for stringers?

Or Steradent tubes with dart fins as a spod.

There again does anyone else remember Steradent??

There, there mate, I remember it too,...not the pva spreading tight arse thing though :-P

The best pva.
I used to get 5 rolls at a time, and several yards of pva sheet to make pva bags at home
