First post here in a while!
I'm considering a new shelter and wanted some opinions/knowledge. I've had a Tempest v2 brolly for a number of years that used to be adequate until I got a new bed (Flatliter mk2). This now takes up a lot of the Tempest's useable space due to the sloping back.
I've had a look around and the Frontier lite looked the perfect solution - flat, high back so the bed fits better, still light enough and a zip in mozzy mesh which I always use these days
The issue is, I can't seem to figure out if they're being discontinued, along with all the extras?? The shelter is available cheap (£175), but the compatible mozzy mesh seems very hard to come by and all infills & vapour peaks etc are out of stock.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Happy to hear any other options too. I barely fish these days - a 12 hour overnighter a month if I'm lucky, so need something relatively compact, quick to put up/take down, and sensibly priced but offering more space than the v2 brolly.

The new range of frontiers was announced last month and due out soon ish hence all current stocks being sold off cheap until gone.

I bought myself a bundle pack last April...
As mentioned they are sold cheap till run out of stock.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you, thinking about the Fox Flatliner, have the Air V2.
As the guys have said, being discontinued, my take on it, if you're not in a rush I'd buy one, some very good prices out there right now. The bits you want will always be getting listed on Ebay, espesh when the new versions launches shortly, so if you're not in a rush, win win

Is there a new Frontier Lite in the next lineup? Don't remember seeing anything...
I'd really like a Lite setup but I think I've left it too late, doesn't seem to be any accessory stock anywhere

My mate has a frontier lite, it looks nice.
It seems much bigger than my tempest 100, nice flatter back, higher door so less limbo.

I think the the fox eos pro co.i g out in ja uary will be what replaces the frontier lite, it looks decent for £299, slightly bigger than the frontier lite and 1kg heavier but still only comes in at 8kg I think it was.

I got mine for £250. The package was shelter, groundsheet, solid infill and vapour peak. I love it only be using with vapour peak so far but love it.

The Frontier Lite is rock solid. I really rate it for space vs size / weight and it's brilliant value for money. I use it for any trip longer than one night. Much more expensive shelters have been and gone.

I've got one, it's a good shelter, but it's definitely not ‘lite'!
I've been a brolly user for years so perhaps I've got used to the size and weight of a brolly, but it's quite heavy and quite bulky IMO.
Plus bits: it's really roomy, very stable, and quick/easy to put up and down.

Based on what I've read, the regular infill from a fox frontier would also fit the frontier lite...
2 Dutch shops have it still available. Maybe a last resort?

I believe the Standard and the Lite are the same size, so should fit, as you say. Different material though (weight + colour differences).

Available for £150 on TFT at the moment... so tempting. I had a stco alert this week from them for the Infill and when I clicked in the link it was oos. I ticketed them, out of interest to see if it was a mistake, and was told it wasn't - they had one from Fox but it sold straight away. The agent thinks that will be it now, it's definitely discontinued.
Is a v2 on the horizon? Can't see anything from Fox.

I thought it was a pram-hood, but obviously not. Seem so strange, a "Lite" Frontier II would clearly get a lot of interest.

the eos is a pramhood, the eos pro is fan out style...I think it looks quite decent for the money tbh...I too think a new frontier lite would be decent.

Cheers for the replies all. Keeping my eyes peeled for a decent second hand one with all the bits I want.
I fished last week and actually spent some time in the bivvy as I didn't have to pack up at 6:30 the following morning (for the first time this year). The weather was pants so I was in the Tempest more than usual and my back still hasn't recovered. I'm 5'10” and have to pretty much double myself over to see out of the thing properly. Hopefully a Frontier will be a lot better height wise as well as for useable space.

If you letterbox the door and you have a skull cap you can quite easily see out without having to be a limbo gold medalist.

Best thing for my back was getting a bedchair buddy. Another thing to carry but worth its weight in gold.
ps visibility out of the frontier is pretty good esp if you letterbox it.

Exactly the reason I'm waiting for feedback on the new block frontier in xl size, might have to wait a while...hmm

Nash seem quite comfortable with legend being used with the Titan.
Maybe it reflects on the break in Frontiers production...who knows...but to deny it was the original & Mk1

Yep original frontier was a pram hood style from early 2000's. I still have one with an overwrap in my loft. It was a great bivvy with very thick material too. The also had a budget version called the frontier classic which was a light weight material. I moved on from my original frontier to an aqua M3 as unfortunately after years of use the tapes begin to fail, and it was a hassle to repair.
It's odd fox seem to have forgotten about the true original frontier in thier numbering schedule. I also have a frontier x as my current bivvy let's call that the MK2 as in reality the latest release is 100% a Frontier 3 in reality. Funny enough the original frontier had quick folding /locking knuckle joints on the poles a variation of the latest design. They were a pain in the arse in the cold. I much prefer the keyed joints on my current bivvy.

All correct, I have the Euro extension too to turn it into a 2 man. I keep thinking about adapting it for one of those mini log fires, the materials more than thick enough. Ths is mine with the overwrap from 2020, don't think I've used it since :-( Now that's more like a usable peak on the front!

Think that's just my OCD, looks like the pegging points are in the same place Little point in having a wrap if it's touching the inner bivvy and there's no air flow between the skins...a critique of modern designs maybe...hmm

I like the fluro or bright T pegs ,a great thing,as they easier to locate at night and when packing down..
We've all lost a peg or two as they become 'invisible' in long grass etc..

The only issue with the euro extension was that the peak loved to pool water after a decent down pour. I made a clip on cross bar for mine with a central rubber mushroom shape to create a small pyramid. The water just rolled off after that and never pooled again on the porch. Funny enough I seem to recall that Nash hastily added a similar feature to the Titans in recent years as they suffered with a similar pooling issue. 🤣

Been using those pegs over 25 years. I got so fed up losing them and back then bivvies had guy ropes, at least with the yellow pegs you could avoid the bloody things instead of going arse over tit

so after much deliberating and not being able to get a front for the frontier lite ive gone for a titan hide camo pro xl....flat back, footprint not much different to the hide, taller at the door to look out and watch the water....after having two back operations I couldn't chance getting the hide.....I was going to take a punt on the new eos pro but after watching a few vids on the hide xl pro I reckon it will suit me
