I have a a Jackery 1000 V2 which I used to power a beach party with some mates a few weeks back. Ran my decks , amp and passive PA speakers for a solid 8 hrs + a projector to watch the England world cup quarter final without a hitch. Powered down around 5am and checked the state of charge remaining and it still had 43% left in it. I doubt I would take it bankside as my small 20000 mah pack gives me enough if a boost to any tech I may take bankside on a 48hr session. If your a power user though or needing something for a longer session though it would be a winner.

I'm interested to know if anyone has tried the MK2 vapour peak on a mk 1. I read somewhere something about the 3 poles being different anti twist or something but I think this may be AI generated gash. When I have looked at images of the MK2 vapour peak the 3 pole didn't look any different ( obviously not actually seen this in the flesh to confirm) if any one does have a mk1 and a MK2 fancy a quick look see test. By the way I have also asked the same question in my local tackle shop they were unsure and didn't have any stock presently to do a quick eyeball. My thinking thought is even if the poles do have a different spigot. As long as the over fabric is the same size it would be easy to drill out the rivets on the old one and refit to the new . Any live testers out there .......

Not triple A battery but usb c rechargeable these headlights from decathlon are pretty solid. The great thing being that they start up on the red light then you can toggle to bright white beam when you wish .

Real Etiquette is not setting up next to anyone. Getting pegs in some times however is a basic requirement. I would love to rock up to mud / grass lined banks and just step pegs in. You lot really seem to get your knickers in a twist some times. Obviously if you can get a peg in by hand / foot that's what you do, but sometimes a touch more force is required in certain situations. If I can get a peg in manually that's obviously the way but sometimes certain situations and certain swims require Timmy to get involved. As it happens due to the nature of the substrate on the waters I fish I would say that 90% carry a mallet/ hammer to utilise if and when required.

You seem to have missed my point. My point was that the top notch tackle pegs are solid and can withstand serious abuse if needed.

Not titanium no but the the top notch tackle pegs really are top notch. The banks on the pits I fish are really rock hard no matter where I set up there's always a boulder or dinosaur bone stone lurking underfoot. I used to drill pegs in with a small electric drill but tossed that aside for top notch tackle pegs and a 2lb lump hammer. Giving them a whack to fire them in to the ground doesn't spook the fish from what I have found. The pegs go in solid smash trough pretty much anything and hold real good. I must have put one through a tree root the other week as it took me ages to wind out. I have only ever had one taken on a very very slight and I mean slight bend in about 6 years you would do well to spot it if I chucked you my peg bag.

I have the vacuum sealer as below from Amazon. I seal loads of stuff all the time fresh trout fillets when coming back from fly fishing , all manner of food stuffs + boiles in fact I sealed up just of a kilo today that I brought home from my last session. When I bulk buy bait ether frozen or shelf life I always decant and seal bags in 1kg measures make life so much easier for storage in the freezer or in storage boxes for shelf lifes as you get nice flat slabs.

At 1st there is a bit of trail and error depending if you have it on auto or manual vac and seal setting. On auto it could be viewed as slightly too powerful as you can squish the boiles from a round to a square like shape. That doesn't bother me in the slightest though they still go out in the pond and get munched the same. Hey it may even be a an edge but I doubt it .

I buy large bags can't remember the size of hand but you will find them on Amazon too to fit your needs. I also buy the the vacuum material on a roll that way you can make up bags any size you want. Just a little more effort as you have to deal and edge 1st to create your bespoke bag before you fill, then vac n seal.

This one's £30

The only issue with the euro extension was that the peak loved to pool water after a decent down pour. I made a clip on cross bar for mine with a central rubber mushroom shape to create a small pyramid. The water just rolled off after that and never pooled again on the porch. Funny enough I seem to recall that Nash hastily added a similar feature to the Titans in recent years as they suffered with a similar pooling issue. 🤣

Yep original frontier was a pram hood style from early 2000's. I still have one with an overwrap in my loft. It was a great bivvy with very thick material too. The also had a budget version called the frontier classic which was a light weight material. I moved on from my original frontier to an aqua M3 as unfortunately after years of use the tapes begin to fail, and it was a hassle to repair.

It's odd fox seem to have forgotten about the true original frontier in thier numbering schedule. I also have a frontier x as my current bivvy let's call that the MK2 as in reality the latest release is 100% a Frontier 3 in reality. Funny enough the original frontier had quick folding /locking knuckle joints on the poles a variation of the latest design. They were a pain in the arse in the cold. I much prefer the keyed joints on my current bivvy.
