After recommendations for decent finger stalls/gloves please.
Currently using a very basic Starbaits one which is getting on a bit and is very stiff until submerged in water and softens up a bit.
What are you all using?

I used a leather one from the chemist for years. I loved it as it allowed me to feel the line better than any of the specific angling versions. The elastic has gone now but I would get another one in a heartbeat - only a couple of quid too.

Here's a thing, does everyone use their index finger to hold the line when casting?
I have always used my middle finger, goes back to when I was trotting on the river and controlling the line coming of the old Abu 501, and latterly when feathering a cast.
I borrowed a finger stall off a mate and it was only when I told him it was too small that I realised everyone else uses a different finger.
It just feels weird when I try the index finger

Can't say I've ever even tried to cast using the middle finger. I feel like first attempt I would just throw the rod in the lake lol

Golf gloves - miles more responsive than finger stalls/casting gloves. Cheap as chips too - you don't need a posh one.

These are great, the medical leather ones, last ages and cheap as chips.
Last longer than everything else I have used.
The nash casting gloves are the best fishing related ones i have used

The Temu ones are brilliant.. £1.20 each, I gave loads away. They aren't to thick and last for ages.

Not that I would go out and buy, but I was bought a set of the spomb gloves for Christmas a few years ago by my sister and they are great - i find it more comfortable then a finger stall and think you get a better feel of the line as well.

My old man is still an avid golfer and goes through loads of golf gloves. They make excellent finger stalls. I just cut off the fingers I don't use.
