Look at the current directors and previous. Suggests it's sold to me but I'm no expert.

If you click on Kevin's or lees name and go to Nash corporation and then click significant control you will see only 2 names which is Kevin and Lee
Not saying you are wrong as that might be going through
I don't know who the others are

Would not surprise me. They have so much stuff out of stock.
If not they have supply problems.

After all the years of service I'm surprised Kevin didn't make Alan Blair a director so if the business has been sold then at least his share option would have been a suitable thank you for all his hard work.

I don't own a single piece of Nash tackle and I doubt I ever will again, but even a non fanboy can appreciate the effort Alan has put in over the years.

ohh something I know something about having been a shareholder and director for more years than I care to think about...don't ask me about rigs or tackle though, I think my fishing is an excuse to sit on a quiet bank not actually catch fish

Seems to be some confusion on here between Directors and owners (shareholders). You can be a Director of a company and have zero ownership (shares) of that company. Likewise you can be a shareholder of a company which means you own some of it and not be a Director.

Or you can be both which is often the case but not always. Unless you are banned for some reason, such as a previous recent bankruptcy, then you can be a Director of as many companies as you like. You can also be a shareholder in as many companies as you like (or can afford!).

Nash Corporation Ltd (which owns the rest of the Nash UK companies) currently has 5 directors but only 3 owners (shareholders) who are Kevin Nash, Lee Nash and Alan Blair. If the company was to be sold/shut/disposed of then only these 3 would benefit except for any private investments contracts the company might have made. Directors are normally 'employed' and unless they have a private agreement would get nothing from a company being sold/shut/disposed of.

Nocturnal Flow, trading as One More Cast, is the opposite. They have 1 director (Ali) but 7 shareholders.

Different companies are setup with different goals. I suspect now Kevin Nash is entering his 70's he wants to step right back from the day to day running of the business so has chosen some new Directors for the day to day running of the business but as he is still the major shareholder (over 98.5%) he may still take a decent income from it in the form of dividends if they so chose to (not they have paid any dividends for a few years). Lee and Alan have less than 1.5% between them so they are very much minority shareholders but something is better than nothing. Kevin (or anyone else with a potentially large value shareholding) may at some point in the future change the shareholding purely to minimise inheritance tax liabilities (which might change in the next budget). Nothing wrong with this it is legitimate tax planning, it is not tax avoidance.

Ali probably offered shares in return for initial investment in his business but he is still very much in control on the day to to day running as the only Director. His investors will expect to see a return on there investment probably in the form of dividends or a (large) cash return on that investment if they sell the company.

As part of my day to day job I often look at companies for a credit/health check (both customers and suppliers). Like many tackle companies Nash had a bumper time post covid with millions in (retained) profit but last year was a loss for them (possibly supply issues like the rest if us plus we all bought nice new tackle after covid so didn't need anymore) and whilst the net worth took a knock with this loss it is still very much in the black. If he was on dragons den I suspect they would be fighting to get involved

I don't use much Nash stuff now I use their bullet mono line which is very good and Nash dwarf rods I think that may be it.
Used their barrows before and wheels kept popping on them and their customer services are dire and his attitude isn't much better to over the phone

Not the only one out there guilty of that. From a time when it was easy to do. Not something a man in his position these days would contemplating doing.
