Keep getting ads when I click on posts how do I get rid

Ad blocker, clues in the name

Edit, few folk have said this happens lately, I use Duckduckgo search engine and don't, but still some do...hmmm

Snap . Google on phone and every other website and forum im on it fine.
Its only whem i click on forum posts hear i get adds pop ups

It's crazy. I was watching my Dukduckgo spyware counter, the phone was on, internet open but nothing searched for and the amount of trackers being blocked continually was ridiculous , a lot of them by apps not in use

Avoid Google, Brave and Proton VPN are decent solutions.

Ad block works great on your laptop but not sure there is an option for on the phone.
Someone posted this a while back and it works a treat...

So, I done some research on this as I was getting them on my phone and you can set Private DNS to "dns.adguard.com"
This is done in your phone settings not chrome/browser.
The path to it on your Android phone is (or should be) Settings -> Connections -> More connection settings.

It worked on the forum, and amazingly also works on Facebook

Ad block works great on your laptop but not sure there is an option for on the phone.

All I can say is I have a S24, and use Kaspersky and Duckduckgo on the whole, google when I'm looking for targeted results. I don't get ads in either, the only one I do get on the forum every now and then is the long lake for sale add on the left hand banner.
I haven't bothered to look into it, that may just be on forum launch, I can't say on the whole I notice that side banner most of the time.

Try using Incognito tab in chrome or Private in Mozilla and wipe out all cookies on affected device.

I down loaded ad blocker it doesn't work on my iPhone maybe if you paid the monthly subscription then I might but I'm not paying that

Went to setting on my phone and changed my search engine to duck duck go as recommended on here and it works a treat 👍👍

Really piss me off the ads

On a brighter note, just seen the Hush one, bloke in a nice blue dress with sparkly cowboy boots. Just wondering if Braders needs a nudge?

This forum isn't what it once was

It is so annoying, when I am surfing midget porn, I keep getting pop ups for NGT bankware, fat and over 40 is full of Korda tat and don't get me on butt love, why they allow John Roberts ads is beyond me. Really spoils the experience
