I've been using my ESP low pro now for a few years and it's coming to the end of its life. I've got a huge Trakker V3 SLX 150 which is great for long sessions with others but wanted advice on other options.

Something super quick to put up and down
A bit taller (most things are!) than the low pro

I've been looking at the Tempest and Aqua fast and light but may be missing other good options...

I recently got a Fox retreat Brolly System, it's basically the old supabrolly covered in a better material, it also comes with a vapour shield if you use them, only used it the once but it seems well built, weighs 13kg complete if weight is a concern.

Bit heavy for me tbh. Looking for something lighter - perhaps not Lo Pro weight but lower than 13kg. Thanks for the suggestion tho.

I have a Fox 60 inch brolly and a solid aluminium auger pole to make sure its stable. It's perfect for day tickets to keep you dry or to keep the sun off/

Second hand Nash ground hog. Very light

Stripped down Pioneer Ultralite 100 . . .

I have a proper bivvy when needed and a small brolly I use most of the year.

I've had loads of brollies and none have been as good as my current fast n light, it's perfect.

Recently bought total camo carp sides and a groundsheet for it, a good addition.

Another vote for the Solar Undercover brolly. My only gripe is there not being a mozzy front available for it but in terms of build quality it's as good as my old Wychwood which was also great

I hate my solar undercover. Worst piece of chinese tat I ever bought.

Nothing beats the speed and lightness of a tempest air to me, not sure what is avaliable similar these days.

I love my Wychwood MHR Brolly, well made and bulletproof if you want an actual brolly.

If you're looking for a quick erect shelter, I think a tempest or titan hide go up just as quick as a brolly. The nylon versions are also just as light as a brolly the 100T or Hide XL also have lots of headroom.

Just my 50p worth.

Deffo tempest brolly 100 goes up in seconds
Light enough, lots of coverage, no storm. Poles needed and u can add bits if u chose to or if u want a bit more height look at the fox frontier light

Think that's where I'm leaning. Im 6ft and it will definitely feel more comfy getting in and out of!

I have the tempest 100 brolly, and I'm also 6ft but not as supple as I once was
No probs getting in and out of it.

I then got a newer 100 (nylon) with the zip on front. I now realise why the 100t is so popular.
With the front fitted tland the door rolled to the top it makes the front about 6-8" lower and a real stretch.

If you only need a basic one for a brolly then the 100 will be fine.

Had the Solar undercover brolly virtually from release. Weighs about 6.5kg with everything in the bag, goes up quickly and is solid in all weathers. Had no issues at all with it. Had it alongside my mates Tempest (normal one I think) and the Solar is quite a bit higher.
