Has any used technium black since it's been back in the shops? Is it the same as it was or have they messed it all up?

I always thought that the 15lb was like flurocarbon, in that it just gets better and better the longer it's on your spools.

😂 could you........I'm very curious.......I wonder if it's nostalgic rose tinted glasses of people remembering products from yesteryear as superior. I don't see a difference but maybe my eye for detail wasn't as keen

I've used techinium black for years like others I bought a bit when it was discontinued, I did how ever need some more for another setup so got the new stuff. Last about 3 months and got rod it's nothing like the old stuff, honest it's awful so glad I've got the older stuff for my main setup

It is 1000000000000% different to the original stuff. The most recent stuff is wiry and pigtails horrendously, when you stretch it you can tell it's different as well.

Got a few days off so getting round to cutting the end of the line off and going down to a field to get rid of the twist. All three rods the same, that is not twist, the line is like that. Could be the result of the line being twisted for a long time but I never had that with previous lines when predominantly using a bait boat.
The rods are stored with the line under tension as well.
( I open bail arms when boating out and hardly ever play off the clutch)

I searched for this thread as I am needing more Technium grey/black...I love the stuff but it's time to refresh all my spools.
I had a bulk spool of the old stuff in 10lb, but I want 12lb and 15lb
Do we know why they changed it? Too expensive to source/manufacturer the original 'recipe' ?
