Looking for a good sinking monofilament as want to fish with slack lines. Anyone got any suggestions for something that is fast sinking?

Distance ? And breaking Strain restrictions ? Would fluoro be better for sinking if your not needing to cast far

Probably no further than 70yards I'd say. No real breaking strain requirements, not sure about fluorocarbon doesn't it need a fair bit of maintenance? Compared to mono? I might be wrong but just something I've thought

20lb Korda Touchdown would get my vote if you don't want to use flouro. 20lb X line if you do.

I use 15lb touchdown which is 0.40...... it's a good mono and sinks well.........

I use Gardner Pro in light or dark, 15lb.
I don't have any commercial ties with Gardner, but it is just about the only line I use ever since I was asked to test it years ago.

Definitely going to have a look into this one seems to be a great option,just need something thats going to sink nicely hopefully this does!

I moved over to the thinking anglers OGX this year and it's my favourite so far. Limp, sinks well and tough, I use it in 18lb.

I'm using pole position (here it comes) SLACKLINER FLUORO CARBON HYBRID. First impressions are very nice. I believe ridgemonkey do such a hybrid line as well, so fluo coated combining the best of fluo with nylon. Sinks very good, soft, easy on the spool, casts fine and nicely priced.

If it is a sinking line that you need and casting over 70yds is not important I have to suggestions for you.

First is GR60X whick is exceptionally tough and sinks very well. It casts rubbish though. Slightly better for casting but still sinks very well is Esp synchro XT loaded. Now I've said this you will get lots of comments saying the synchro line is a difficult line to use, well its not my experience. I have had the same line on my reels for over 5 years and I've caught a lot of fish and it hasn't given me the slightest problem. Just don't expect to cast long distances.

Flouro does need a little more looking after, but its the trade off of that vs its great sinking properties.
Ive had no probs at all with tiger in 16lb as a flouro or CM90 as a mono

Apparently CM90 has been discontinued.

I have been opening various boxes, packaging etc. on different spools of line in the local Angling Direct to see what's most like it; so far, the Thinking Anglers stuff looks similar. One thing that was very obvious with this TA stuff is that it has very little memory, which is important for me. The reason I have to open it and lay it out all over the shop is because the staff are clueless.

I've been using P Line Extrusion since June after it was recommended here on the forum. It took a bit getting used to as there's almost no stretch, almost like using braid. I really like it, great for feeling for a drop, really good dia/breaking strain (0.30/23lb),nice silver/grey colour , casts well, sinks well and behaves itself on the spool.
Had no issues at all.
A guy on ebay from Poland was the seller, delivery was fine.

Another vote for Gardner pro. Cheap as chips too

Be very surprised if 23lb was its breaking strain with a diameter of .30 that's more like 10-12lb line. If it is that's fantastic

0.30 and 10.41kg amazing stuff. That's what it says on the spool label.

The first take I had using it was close in and i lost the fish unfortunately,The zero stretch took me by suprise.
It isnt included on the Tackle Box line test guide,which is a shame as one set of testers is the ideal situation.
