I went and it was crazy busy and at £15 cash only to get in it's a winner £££££
Lots of new gear to see but as for getting bargain you will be lucky. I spent a few quid but no difference than going to the tackle shop .

yeah it was absolutely rammed with people ... didnt find any bargains either. pva cable ties were the only new product i found

Thing is now the stands are so expensive it's probably more expensive for the companies to sell at these shows than it is through online, direct to customer.

I went gotta say its probably one of the worst shows I've been to. Yes it was rammed but most of the shows are, there were plenty of companies there maybe too many as each stand was pretty small with hardly anything on them, I was looking forward to visiting the catchit labs stand but was disappointed with the range they had available. The bigger stands belonged to the likes of ngt and were a bit like a jumble sale if you could get near them.

Agree totally. Very few bargains and walked out with a few odd bits that I could have picked up at any tackle shop without the £15 entry fee . Won't bother again .

I saw a few videos online of how busy it was, looked ridiculous. I had no idea you had to pay to get in. You genuinely have to pay to get inside, surely that's a joke?

Paid to get into a cattle pen. You were on top of everyone. It was awful, so close you could smell the plaque on their teeth. Never again will I go to one of these.

The Mainline stand had to be the most disappointing, literally a few pots of pop ups and a goo bar with 3 bowls of pop ups. All mainline guys wearing Korda, it seemed Korda told them they had to be there without anyone planning it.

I used to go to all the shows
often just to meetup with people for a bit of a social and after the traders got together and banned Erics angling from the Carp Society show at Sandown as he would NOT price fix they all said if he goes they would not go !!
I never went to another of their shows and now despite what ANYONE says
I only go to the big one as IMHO its the ONLY show where if you take your time you can really get some bargains
I haggle a lot and have never been and not saved a lot of money obviously people that hare round and dont take their time and study the prices will easily miss the bargains
the only thing is its a Pick Pockets paradise one guy they caught had 37 mobile phones in his bag !

That was the only time ai went was 2 or 3 Sandown shows.

I have only worn camo a couple of times both on a Sunday when I have fished all night Sat and gone straight to a show
but if I wanted to wear a fishing coat to a show because it was a favourite coat and had lots of pockets I ****ing would and not be worried about some silly **** thinking it strange either

Normally x per sqm.
We do industry events, the stand on its own is £1 million even before paying for the floor space. Shows are good earners for those who put them on and very difficult for those showing to quantify the true value.

I was running mobile bars around 4-5 years ago, and got quoted around £1500 (can't remember exact figure) for a bar. Phenomenal amount of money, I can't imagine the stands were any cheaper

I guess it's no different these days.

I did a few shows around the country with The PAG and Poacherbaits some years ago, really enjoyed them, great fun, but even then a stands cost was expensive

Yeah it's always been the same buddy. I remember one place charging me £50 extra for a trellis table. Or £40 extra to allow me the privilege of bringing in my own bar. Either way I was paying extra 😂😂😂

Last show I went to was one of the later 5 lakes events .It was dire ,few if any bargains, and so much tat..swore never to do another show. do remember seeing a 4x4 in full realtree driving into the carpark. Think the driver was decked out in RT too. Not my thing..I prefer DPM myself but as OG says each to their own,who are we to judge?!
