Must have gone to spam
Try a message via facebook/insta.
Was always 5kg min order direct and price varies with quantity and delivery vs collection
I hope 11 odd a kg is the shop price or I'll get a shock on my next order

Your best of phoning up mate, much better deals over the phone. I used to get Cav and Cranberry about 6 quid a kilo in bulk... Was a few years ago mind but i would be surprised if its gone up too much. Good bait that.

I witnessed that bait absolutely dominate a couple of lakes back in the day.

If buying in reasonable quantities, probably £6-7 a kilo, my mate buys directly from Bob at around 6.50 I think for ice reds, good bait especially for the price

What an awful website that is. Never seen the point in having a website if its that crap, better off not having one in my opinion
I see you are in Essex, id recommend having a pop down to see kenny gates at bait asylum for bait. Hes in bulphan. Bit of a bait god, and very well priced for what you are getting

I did well on the Ice Reds years ago, but equally well on the Natural Impact which seemed to get overlooked by a lot of people.
Bit of a funny business Carp Company, great proven baits, loads of heritage, quite a big following back in the day, but they never really took the business to where it could be, I'd love to have the money to buy it, promote the baits properly, do proper social media and youtube, have a decent website done. I've said for years that could be a monster of a business. Ice Red C&C with aminol would give any modern bait a run for its money.

Ice Red with Caviar and Cranberry was a top bait
I once caught the same carp 3 x in a month at the Dagenham chase

Carp company used to have such a following but you just don't hear from them much these days. They never get recommended which made me think maybe the company changed hands and ingredients changed.

Still Jules and Bob as far as I know.
Still Jules and Bob as far as I know.
Last I heard still the same owners, still the same place to collect. They obviously have enough regular customers that they don't need to whore out with snazzy websites and social media BS. Says more about the quality to me than hounding you with emails like the likes of DNA.

surely every business needs to attract new business and promote new products?

Different business strategy maybe. No rights no wrongs.
I know plenty of tradesmen who never need to advertise and they keep busy all year round.

I think it's different markets I suppose.
For example I work in property refurb / development, we haven't ever advertised and probably booked up until June. Someone selling goods though I think needs to advertise as there is more likely a 'click response' for a bait than there is a new kitchen and living room 😂 depending on n budgets of course 😂

Depends what they want from it. Sometimes word of mouth is enough to keep the business turning over. Look at Bait Asylum as another example.

And also think of all the independent rod builders doing fantastic work.

Looks like there baits are still doing the business just seen on there website Frimleys Charlie's m8 was recently caught on there baits
It's always been a great bait. I just think of what's come along in the last few years and dominated the market place, Sticky was a tiny business ticking along for years until it got funding and had a big push, now it's massive. DNA was tiny until they got a cash injection and marketed the hell out of it. I don't think either of those brands make a bait any better than the ice reds or natural impact. Always felt a missed opportunity to me. A lot of the ‘old school' baits like ice red and B5 and premier, nutrabaits had to rely on good solid catch results week in week out to sell. They were great baits then and still great baits today. No social media or YouTube etc. I reckon those baits could still dominate waters it's just no one under thirty fives has ever heard of them!

i think a lot of these older companys like Carp Company are stuck in simpler times when it comes to carp fishing. (not a bad thing) they are owned by men of a certain vintage who probably dont use social media and would much prefer to answer a phone and sell bait than reply to messages on insta or process orders on a website.
I've also got a mate who sells bait by word of mouth, he gave up with selling via Facebook as he said the breed of angler he was attracrting it just wasnt worth it. Hed sell 5kg to them a week later hed get a call to say his bsit was rubbish as they blanked and he wouldnt hear from then again. That could also be a factor.
