The old pair died at the weekend.
Anyone recommend some to look at before I just go to the tackle shop and end up with what they've got.
High back so not really like a bib and brace. Knee pads would be nice, waterproofish, breathability is more important.
Not fussed on colour.

I've been using the fox ones for the last few winters, they're nice and warm - and the quality is pretty good too, I haven't really got a bad thing to say about them,

I was really hoping someone had a hidden gem without the fishing tax on them.
Decided that the weather isn't fishing friendly today so going to take a trip to the tackle shop out of curiosity, I'm not sure xxl is big enough, been a good Christmas

My Aldi salopettes have been going strong for 4/5 years now and are great. However I've bought a few bits in the last few years and the quality was nowhere near as good, stitching went on a few pairs of waterproof trousers first wear for example. Not needed to check out the current salopettes but if they are the same or similar to the version I bought 4/5 years ago then highly recommended

Agree with this. My aldi ones are doing well still 3 years in. Only nag is the elastic straps which were shot. Simple job for someone who knows how to sew to cut and shorten them though.
They are snug though so would suggest a size up at least.

Another vote for the Aldi ones. I've also got the coat, thermal tracky bottoms and hoodies from them, all have been excellent.

Funnily enough I ordered these earlier today. I tried some on in the tackle shop, think they were avid? 160 quid and I looked like mc hammer, looked like I was wearing a 5 season sleeping bag. Hope these others are a bit thinner.

Me too,
I've been using the same pair of ESP salopettes for around 6 years now, winter time I've got SnugPak trousers I wear underneath, summertime just joggers or shorts.
I've re proofed them a few times and they're still waterproof and serving me well.
