Neither are an investment but for me it would be the tempest.

Trakker all day I now have a tempest for short sessions and an slx v3 2 man for longer ones or winter

Yep, doesn't change the fact neither are an investment though. As already pointed out there is quite a price difference between the two of the ones you have asked about. Both from previous posts have quality control issues so maybe pot luck on which would be best.

If we're gonna go all in [full pedant mode] then when you googled and copied and pasted the definition of "investment" you probably should have expanded the result to see all variations and definitions:
noun: investment; plural noun: investments
* the action or process of investing money for profit.
* a thing that is worth buying because it may be profitable or useful in the future.
* an act of devoting time, effort, or energy to a particular undertaking with the expectation of a worthwhile result.
ARCHAIC
* the surrounding of a place by a hostile force in order to besiege or blockade it.
So the original posters idea of "investment" is probably a little bit of the second and third bullet point combined. Hope that helps![/full pedant mode]

I used to have a Nash titan as pro, got rid of it for a trakker tempest and 100% was the right decision! The titan was a ball ache to put up, the material was so tight it was near enough impossible to get the pegs in, particularly if the ground was slightly uneven. The tempest for me is far better option.

I'd say you have made the right decision.
I went from a Tempest v2 brolly ( with extras ) and bought a fox Frontier.
Don't get me wrong the Frontier is such a nice bivvy but for ease of putting up / taking down and especially the weight the Tempest is by far the best option.
I think I'm going to probably end up getting another tempest for quick sessions.

Timed from bag to full pegged out 2min 46 sec with my Frontier x, is the tempest faster to setup?
The Xd took me abit longer(30-40 sec extra )

Yes, the Trakker joints are easier to put together, the mechanism is easier to use, the material is thinner so much lighter.
The frontier is an awesome bivvy but I personally prefer the tempest, especially for moving to finding the fish.

Both are too low IMO opinion for a long term all use option.
The Trakker 100t with infill panel and cap wrap with a social cap for longer sessions pretty much is the ultimate bivvy for me. The higher rated materials in alternatives are IMO a waste of time due to their higher HH material leading to worse condensation and longer times for the condensation to evaporate.
I speak from experience after owning 20k material variants...

Nash used to be know as nasty but I think they have seriously updated their game. I have had a few Nash Bivvys and brollys over the years and I can honestly say I have had no problems with any. I sprayed an old oval in fabsil and the tapes peeled (saturated it) but that was my fault
Trakker on the other hand I can honestly say I have had quite a few, and found problems with every single one I have tried which is very disappointing, especially for a Northern firm who's HQ was / is? Not too far from me. Crock of *****
