I am interested in those of you who own a defiant MPS pod and which spec did you guys go for.? Im looking at them for a while now and was interested to see who chose what and why. Im torn between the panther design and the Leopard 2, I seem to keep changing my mind . the lakes i fish have platforms and natural ground, a lot of it requires a pod but i often find myself fishing 2 rods on a pod and one off down the margin on sticks locked up. So i think the panther suits that style the most but would love to hear from those of you that have them .

I have a 2 rod panther in titanium/carbon with grubscrew fittings.It is the best pod I have ever owned,I leave it all set up apart from the central bar.I keep it all safe in a custom army andy bag,it takes seconds to attach the bar and its ready to go.

Fantail for me.
I like being able to spread the rods if required. I have the widest rear bar to enable this too (not one for those who like everything close together and folded reel handles!)

I have the Fantail, excellent bit of kit. Can use as single sticks if needed but just so versatile.

I'm on the waiting list for a fantail. Seems to do everything you could ever want a pod to do, other than keeping the rods tight, which is not something that really appeals to me with the kind of lake I fish

I have a titanium fantail and a panther on order. The fantail is a great bit of kit but the ease of set up for the panther appeals to me.
I'll probably keep both and use them on different waters.

I normally ask Keith for an update/ETA after about 6months of being on order. I dont think that can be classed as impatient/unreasonable ... was 9months for my last order

I tend to agree the fan tail is awesome if only the Solar World wide was made in titanium then that would be the all time great imho

I've got a MK1 Leopard titanium pod with a few custom tweaks. Does everything I've ever needed. Pack it away in a bag with both ends and alarms set up and just add the two centre bars. 👍

i like the look of that one also, If i fished somewhere where i thought i could just push the bars into the ground and not use the connecting bar i think id go with that one, but the lake im on is gravel pit and the banks are varied but mostly gravel, most sticks need a pilot hole with a auger or similar so im leaning toward the panther although either one would do the job pefectly well. Now im loooking harder at the leopard system It does look pretty darn versatile. I could probably just toss a coin and be as happy with either one .

ive always looks at them.
what are they like over rough ground as i use a Sod Pod Mk3 but this can be a bit of a fiddle at times.
