Nothing comes close to the RX Digital apart from the Fox LXR. They are not as rare as rocking hose **** for nothing
Fox released some new updated MX alarms only a while back. There not a bad choice if your not looking at RX+ prices. Adjustable colours, sensitivity, quality speaker etc
Can't see these being a poor choice.
I tried the new Delks and sold them on - enough said there and upgraded to a set of underlit Att's which I changed to crystals and they are brilliant. Only got a set of RX+'s as it was an offer i couldn't refuse and I swap between them depending on where i'm fishing.

I have the old RX digitals and I love them, but if we're really honest with ourselves as anglers, what we really need in a bite alarm is something that goes beep when your string is pulled, and works reliably in all conditions.
All the rest of it is nonsense invented purely to sell more than the competition.

Agreed Phil, that's why I still use a set of DXR's and my back-ups are SXV's

Yup! I use some cheap Fox Micron MX+ alarms. They were £30 a go 4 years ago. They reliably bleep and light up when I have a fish on and I can adjust the volume, sensitivity and tone. Unless I needed a receiver I don't really understand what more I'd be getting by buying a top of the range Fox RX or a Delkim for close to 200 a go.
What confuses me even more is the current Fox Micron MX is £75 a go now, for the same product as far as I can tell. Mad inflation on fishing gear.

definitely, and by some. They wont be getting replaced anytime soon. simple to use and great features, no need to program it every time you go fishing
I actually downgraded to the micron X to save some money, great value but nothing compared to RX+.

I have a set of sx alarms that I had converted to wireless receiver in one set up
I have a set of dxr that I bought from here and now need new battery connections so I will get them done in a couple of weeks or so
Until then I'll use a set of back up ace i3 lol

The old MX's were not wireless and didn't have adjustable colour led's etc, specs below. The equivalent from Fox's range now would be the mini micron (But this is higher spec than the old MX+ in features) is £34.99 rrp, the old MX+ had an rrp of £49.99.
So we are now getting better value for money, this isn't mad inflation on fox bite alarms. Agreed that some kit has gone up in price recently but this is due to inflation, shipping and material costs.

Thanks for that, interesting. To be honest I find it hard to tell the difference by comparing the specs, half the bullet points I don't even know what they mean 😂, or for many I'm sure my old MX+ already has - like silent startup. The only one I can see a practical benefit to is the addition of radio so you can use a receiver when fishing nights.

Still none the wiser. Anyway as long as it goes beep and the battery life is decent.

I have no doubt they will release another set. I've never personally been tempted by the RX +
I was always satisfied with the NTXR's which I personally rate above my new TXI D's.
I'm really not sure how much further alarms can actually progress tbh.

What ever happened to the alarms with a part that cast into the water with your rig? Can't remember the name but somebody had a photo of a stand at a show and there was a fair bit of chat on here.

How and way are the fox better than the delkims? Not trying to be a Delkim head as such just interested.
Watched the fox promo vid and the alarm does have larger ears so snags ears may not be needed.

Personally I like Delkims. I have always had a set since about 1990 and I always will. It's a personal thing, call it a preference. Neither have ever let me down. I just couldn't imagine a reason to upgrade my fox alarms beyond the NTXR's as they do everything I could ever want.

Don't think there new alarms it's camo version's of the micron x the be released soon (can be pre ordered on eBay already) , I'll stick with SXs thanks with attx fitted

I think they make sub standard goods out of sub standard materials. The only exception to this rule is their top tier buzzers.
