Do bulky sleeping bags fold up ok in these?

Yes Wayne they do,it does make it a quite big.The double hinge part helps to accommodate the bag but like I say it's then far from compact,not that it's very compact anyway

Wayne, nuts off the inflating mattress, you really don't need it. I've got a Trakker 365 bag on my Solar bedchair, folds up kooshty 👌

I will try it without but I like to sleep on my side and have never found a bedchair that doesn't give me a sore hip.......

Its a shame it doesnt have the same retaining straps as the flatliter had, not sure if the new fox ones are the same. The one on the solar is badly designed in my opinion, the 2 side straps on the fox worked so much better

It's the only thing that let's it's down,that's why I pop a ratchet strap around it too

What size Solar bedchair have you got please mate. I've got the original 365 Sleeping bag and was going to replace my knackered Fox Ultra 6 leg with the Trakker Levelite Lumbar as I can get it for £265 but the Solar SP C-tech keeps getting recommended. I'm 6ft 4in and 18 stone.

Im 6'4 and 15st and ive got the wide one and there loads of room on it. I sleep on my side in the recovery position which is why i got the wide version so i can spread my legs out. Best bed going for me by a country mile. I bought a mountain equipment glacier 5.0 sim for mine as its like sleeping in my bed at home.

I use a Wychwood Morpheus 4 or 7 on mine, always packs the bag away, I'm average size and have the standard one sleep on my side back front it's great, the only let down is the clip that may break at some point. I use a bedchair bag for mine which helps manage it. Mine replaced an avid benchmark and when I wake it's like I'm on a firm comfortable based bed, superb bed.

I'm sure it would be fine with either bag yet as I tend to only use the 7 when it's dropping below zero I allow myself the flexibility to grab the bag I need for the conditions necessary.

Well my 15yr old JRC 5 season bag and SIM fit ok but will get a bungee to wrap round it........3 day session from Wednesday so will see how comfy it is then.......does any use the small bag attachment......

Both a friend and I had put hand sanitiser in the side pouch of the side bag, keys, phone, charger it's decent and fits either side.

As for the bed..........I haven't used mine yet even though I have had it for a couple of months, one thing I will say is that it's big when packed down. I have a fortis bag so that's only small but the actual bed width when packed down is really wide. Bit gutted really as I had a trakker ELS which was perfect for my barrow but I have now had to try and redesign how I stack all my kit. I know this not exactly world ending but when you have spent years going minimal and getting it all perfect this is a spanner in the works 🤣

Hahaa.... This has made me laugh as it's the exact same scenario as me.
I did manage to put the barrow up and chuck the bedchair on it before Xmas and it actually sat on there ok as I did find the ELS with SIM, fortis bag and pillow used to sit a bit lop sided whereas the solar one for some reason sits level?
Like a couple of others have posted, the solar bedchair does fold a little odd and takes a lot of cranking up to hold tight on the buckle strap, hopefully the comfort will make this a minor inconvenience though?

Maybe the Trakker beds have a longer joint where it folds as that's why why things folded better?

I did have the same thing happen to me with my last fox bedchair. I'm not using a self inflating mattress anymore, everything folds sweet. Like others have said about the buckle, I agree with those sentiments, although I will add that i find it reasonably easy to get nice and tight.

All of that aside, the Solar bedchair has to be the best bedchair out there from what I've spied with my little eye.

First time out on mine on Wednesday night. Nice and firm bed but is it me or is there like a slight raised part of the mattress right on the calf muscle or behind the knee? I think it's where the bed folds up. Made me get constant pins and needles in my feet. The raised bit is only about 4” but goes from side to side. Anyone else notice this or are you all using sims?

Not noticed that on mine,was it pushed all the way down.I had the foot end of mine lift up a couple of times when new
