I'm thinking about getting a pair of these in 11ft 1.75lb for tench fishing. Just wondered if anyone has any experience of using these rods and if so what their thoughts are?

I have a couple of 9 footers they're spot on. Only comment is the cork isn't the best quality but for the price I've no real complaints.

I use one for floater fishing, think it is the 11ft 9 2.25lb specialist.
Nice for the money. The blanks are good, the fittings aren't top quality but are fine for 60 quid.

Looking at new tench rods myself, shame about the Cork handles, just dont see the attraction.

I use a pair of those exact 11 foot 1.75lb tc for barbel fishing on smaller rivers/tighter swims. Caught barbel up to double figures on them. They feel short in the handle IMO, which doesn't bother me at all I'll add. The action and quality of them is very good for the cost. Nice through action, proven to have enough power to steer an angry barbel away from snags.

i have landed carp to 40lb plus on the 11 foot 1.25lb float fishing and carp to 39lb 15oz on the 6 foot 2.5lb
they are great rods, I know the tacklebox check every rod before they are put into stock so there will be no problems with them, both are mine are prototypes the 6 foot is a 2 piece as I asked if it could be made into a 2 piece and they did it for me.
I would say that the 6 foot one need a reel with good cranking power as with the rod being so short you don't have much lack to reel when winding down playing a fish on it, especially is its a lump

Rods are good but the handles are cork style, so a thin layer of cork over foam.
Thank you all fir your responses. I must say I was wary regarding the reel seat and cheap cork. I did consider replacing the handles as it's something I've done before and was happy with the results. I have read somewhere else that the handle is quite short so may look at another option.

I've got a set of the 12' 3lbers and they're incredible for the money. The cork isn't the best but for £50 a rod you can't expect too much. Mines weathered down nicely now and looks far better and seems a bit less prone to flaking off.
They're soft for 3lb. I bought them as a small water rod so quite liked this, but it's something to bear in mind.
I have managed to smash a couple of tip rings... entirely my fault but TB replaced the whole tip sections completely free of charge. Some of the best service I've ever had.

Thinking myself about getting the 12ft 3lbers Anymore reviews? I see Tom rates them so that's reassuring. They look good for the money. I'm not a massive cork fan but willing to take the gamble

The blank will be very good. Only thing I would say is if you are used to a proper cork handle and a Fuji seat then the fixtures might feel a bit lower in quality. Still perfectly good, and it's the blank that actually counts
