What are the lightest bobbins available?
I was using muddy waters old skool bobbins which are around 2/3g but you can no longer get them, Cygnet was doing them but hey have neen discontinued I believe.
Next lightest to that I can find is Matrix Aero at 4g, are there any others?

Lightest indicator that I have ever used was a 3" Cygnet chain with a plastic line clip screwed into the female thread on the chain. But, there is no way to have an isotope mounted unless you glued it on the outside and protected it somehow.

Believe it or not I had a similar bobbin from my grandfather when I was starting out.
Attached to a long piece of string and a ring that my bankstick went through.
Painted red if I remember right!!

If no rain forecast, you can't beat a little bit of breadflake squeezed onto the line.

Probably chew through your line while they're at it.there was more than one reason why we sat up all night with a candle in a jam jar. Thank God things have advanced. I'm not fourteen any more.😳

Back in the 70's we used to use blobs of bread paste lol
No baitrunners or suchlike either so if you forgot to loosen off your spool or flick the bail arm off then there was every chance your rod would shoot off into the lake like a javelin (I might have have had that happen to me once. Cough).
Was at the “BP” lake when I was about 14. Got my rod back from someone but it had a different reel on it by the time it got back to me!!
