Well my Mk2 supabrolly has finally given up the ghost so I'm in the market for a new one. I'm looking for something very similar, in fact another mk2 supabrolly that didn't leak would be ideal! I've had the ultrabrolly and sold it after 2 sessions after breaking the centre pole and not getting on with putting it up and down compared to the mk2. The closest thing I've seen is the solar one, is there anything else out there that gives the same coverage, plenty of headroom and is waterproof?

Tempest 100T, got one from Heff on here brand new but 2nd hand. Wish I had brought Trakker yrs ago, brilliant, roomy, lightweight, quick to use and simple.

Should add that after my experiences with the crossfire I will no longer buy trakker, but I'm after a brolly shape like the supabrolly anyway.

Cyprinus do a couple of decent looking brollys. The K2 and A1. I know some people don't like Cyprinus but I can only speak from my personal experiences and I've not had any issues with their shelters.

Get an Aqua Pioneer. Don't leak and ain't s4it like Fox's garbage.
I've narrowed it down to the Solar Undercover Brolly System or the Wychwood HD MHR Brolly System mk2, just need to see them in the flesh to make a decision.

I have the mhr brolly and the material is quality and nice little touches with the pocket at the back and the bit of a built in groundsheet

I have the mhr system and i am 6ft 3 and have loads of head room with the legs extended....

I like both of your choices
but think the biggest difference is the Solar is PROBABLY ? based on a 55" brolly ? and the reason its so much smaller than the MHR thats defo a 60" brolly

Looks like I'm late to the party, but the Solar undercover is brilliant. Had one a couple of months now and love it. Feels real quality, front goes on super easily (had to put it on once when it p*ssed it down sideways) and it's a nice height.

Are they quick to put up mate ? I had a fox supa brolly and was a right faff to get it up and sorted, I'm torn between tempest brolly and the solar.

Do you mean the ultra brolly? I thought both versions of the supabrolly were easy to setup, thats why I wanted another that didn't leak.

Put it up like a brolly, screw in 2 storm poles and screw central pole off. There's a clip in pole that goes between the storm poles, but not really felt the need to use it. It's another 10 seconds if you put that in.
I got it for overnighters and to make moving a more viable prospect, cos I can't be bothered taking a bivvy down. It's also lighter than the specs say. It's just big enough for a bedchair and my gear.

Was an avid 'traditional' brolly user myself for years (Nash Profiles and then JRC Stealths I think) but switching to a Tempest brolly was a gamechanger for me. Love them

bit pissed off they dont do a groundsheet for it though ?

Don't think you'll be disappointed with the Wychwood mate. Seconds to put up really once you get used to it and loads of room. You can put it away with the front zipped in if you really need to as well

I have the sp brolly and it's the same set up. If you put it up properly. 4 storm poles and one rain gutter pole. I would say 6/7 minutes if you don't leave the poles in place. The v2 would wipe the floor with it on set up times

the Wychwood tactical is brilliant shelter and I do like it but it is very very low 120cm
carping on a lake its perfect
BUT ! as I now fish fast flowing rivers my rods are used high and if due to weather Im forced to sit in the bivvy I cant see the rod tips and as my illness has caused 2 of my vertebrae to be pushed out and fractured looks like my back injury will be permanent
and if in the event this Solar shelter isnt a lot better it should be 150cm I will send it back thats the reason I bought it from Amazon as its free returns with no quibbles

Not sure what version of the Tempest my mate had, but we had that and my Solar up side by side at Gunthorpe and the Solar door is a lot higher.
The Solar only has 2 storm poles, not 4 (whoever mentioned that). In 6-7 minutes you could have it up and a cup of tea made.

First time out with the MHR last week, rained a bit and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it leaked! In 3 places, needless to say it's going back.

Wychwood seem to be having lots of problems ??
and thats really sad as they have gone from making some of the best shelters on the market too one where its a lottery if you get a good one or a bad one

I have only put mine up in the garden and will be a while before Im fit enough to actually use it but first impressions very well made and for my uses is a good compact size
being only 150cm deep I can see why a few people say its too small for them but my bed fits in and goes to the back with enough room for my needs

one important thing with the Solar Undercover brolly System is the weight Solar state is miles out
they state its 10.5kg but when Rob weighed his it was no where near that
So mine came and after removing the packaging I weighed mine its exactly 7.4kg with everything pegs front poles etc

I have the full aqua fast light and love it. Wrap fits mint and fits my nash Ss3 5 season bedchair and stuff in easy. I also have the tempest v2 brolly again class. Just love the aqua more I like the spokes above my head hang my keys and alarm receiver on them and when used with good storm piles solid
