As per title. Ideally something with reinforcing where arms and cord meet. Current Fox nets disintegrating!, Need 2....a 42 and a 50.

Are they any good Ken? I have the Dual Reach, got to say the net is a bit fragile, put a hole in it 2nd or 3rd use from resting against a tree, and I'm not talking ripping it off branches, can't see it lasting too long.

I've got a tackle box own brand mesh on one of mine, seems fine.

I made up 4 torrix nets and bought a few different meshes went with the tackle box ones in the end looked the best quality.

I had a Gardner net mesh on one of my nets, The one with the solid sleeves?
I found it very hardwearing but exceptionally heavy compared to others?
I prefer the FreeSpirit/Tacklebox replacements or even the Advanta ones from AnglingDirect..

If colour wasn't an issue I'd have gone with gardner all day long I wanted a black net and went with matrix what a useless excuse it is I've repaired it several time and my Nash net not once which is 20 years old. Now this may not be a true reflection on them but I would not waste a a single penny more on their products. I speak as I find.

I'm probably in a similar position. My original net is a North Western probably from the late 80's/early 90s, the arms wore out at the base and the poles started splitting. I pegged them with wooden dowels, lasted a bit longer, still with original net. Next was a Fox CarpMaster, the net is simply too heavy, asked about on here bought the dual reach and the net mesh itself is simply not up to my use, its too soft and thin at the base.
I'm thinking Matrix spreader block and arms but as original poster I'm undecided on mesh.

Free Spirit meshes have changed - the older ones were brilliant, the new ones are not. My recent purchase started to unravel itself, so took it back, quality was terrible. Ended up getting a Century mesh to put on my S net, which is excellent.

I've just received the Gardner mesh to replace mine that has gone all crusty after catching a few eels on my last session (any advice on cleaning this as tried everything I can think of?). First impressions are very good and not overly expensive so good to have as a back up if I do manage to sort my original net out

Contact CnC Cat products on FB, they do meshes to replace cat nets, and do custom work. Im sure theyll be happy to quote you for one.

Got the Camo mesh in 44 inch which is designed to go with 42 inch nets. It looks good (replacing a camp mesh so like for like in looks) and has a nice soft feel so think it will do the job very nicely
