Hi all, I need to buy a throwing stick to reach around 100 metres. Can anyone recommend something around £30 to £40? Thanks

Definitely, Korda Eazistik. 15.99. Tough as old boots, lasts for years and does the job. Lose it, break it, throw it in the lake just replace it. Mind you they take some breaking.

For ease of use, go for a carbon stick every time.
I upgraded last year and the difference has to be seen to be believed

Just be mindful that if there are gulls around you'll feel like 10% of baits are going in if you're lucky.

Without wishing to hijack the thread ... which carbon stick do people think offers the best value for money?

Yep, loud as hell but they all are

Korda eazistick is as good as I can find, cheap and takes a battering always Keeps on going for the price I don't think it can be beaten. I'm not a fan of carbon sticks they are so nosey even if they do get baits out further

I think I paid about 60 quid for my Daiwa infinity stick. It's so light it's unbelievable unfortunately so is the noise it creates. Don't get a sore elbow with it unlike the Korda one so i stuck with it.

Just bear in mind that carbon sticks are noisy so if you aren't going to be putting in loads of bait then the Korda one does the job perfectly. The cheaper carbons like the Diem, NGT etc are very good just don't get the Ridgemonkey, it's a shocker

The tackle box carbon one is great, but I find myself using the korda one more as its so much quieter. I can never put volumes of bait out with a stick anyway, the gulls know the sound well

I find I have to use any throwing sticks at night when the sky rats av left

Yes another vote for the diem stick, so light and comes with a nice protective case

I swear sometimes the flying rats can hear you just taking it out of the rod bag

Just how noisy are the carbon sticks?

Can't be any worse than the aluminium Cobras of the 80s with home made air dried baits. I remember they made a sort of 'ggrriiinnnnngggggg' sound.

I'm about to fork out for a fox rangemaster carbon, gulls aren't a problem, but I don't want to be waking people up.

Recently made the switch from one of the first cobra's to the small nash cyberlite which was on sale for 40 i believe. Very impressed, and completely silent.

Not sure what my one is, King Cobra? Black painted metal with black plastic handle.
I got a Solar Sharpshooter as well, with the rage for old Solar I wonder if that's collectable?

The original Cobra aluminium sticks were a bit of an ache in the arm after a while, although I found them accurate.

I still use a plastic Cobra Ace, not found anything better. I had a carbon stick, had an accident when something got blown over in the bivvy and crack, new stick needed.

Found the only way I could use a Korda stick was two handed, whereas the Cobra is so much easier. Real shame the Cobra went goodbye. The Nash Cobra just didn't work.

I still have and fish with a cobra king 20 mm nowadays, apart the paint went off where the boilies pass through, it's in good condition after all the use it has during the years.

For bigger baits 24mm I use the Korda eazy, but every 2/3 years it breaks and need to purchase another one. Luckily it's cheap

I had a cobra banana stick back in the day. Absolutely shocking 😂 jacked that in and got an easy stick, think ive had 6 of those now.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the amount of praise for the Korda stick, I thought everyone had given up on the plastic, fibreglass and metal ones and gone over to carbon.

Still have my Cobra Stick it's 30 years old now and to think I felt it a bit OTT at the time, it's not left my side. I have an ACE carbon and although superb I only take it when I'm putting kilos in at range.
