Hi all, after some low stretch mono for my new water at about 0.40 diameter as braid is not allowed. What's everyone using please?

I'd recommend Shimano technium. I'm on it and find there's very little stretch

Have a look at Suffix 21, I think it's sold as Suffix super 21 in the UK.

Not many people use low stretch mono.
Pro Gold is the lowest stretch mono I've tried, and use.
You can get it from Birmingham Angling. You won't find a lower stretch mono, unless you go Flouro.
TouchDown is quite low stretch.

Yeah, I have used the pro clear by GLT and it's brilliant. Casts well, sinks well and is very abrasion resistant. Amazing quality for a low stretch line. Hard to get hold of though.

Bought 2 spools last week from Wallers of Trowell

I have changed recently from years of using shimano techinium black to esp synchro xt (normal not the loaded) I really like the stuff, not slating the shimano because I used that for years and loved it but I have been really impressed with the esp and don't think I'll be going back

Not sure whether you are mixing up Pro Gold with other monos from GLT but ive used Pro Gold in the past, its great reliable line but i wouldnt say it is low stretch. It has far more stretch than the likes of Shimano Technium black

Low stretch = pre stretched. There are loads on the market nowadays. Gardner GT HD gets good reviews.

Believe it or not the hydro tuff ain't pre stretched. It's just a brilliant, brilliant line 👍

Have to admit, never used Technium black.
If it's lower stretch than Pro GOLD , it must be close to Flouro in the stretch factor.
If I get the chance I'll buy some.

It's an awesome line mate. Does pretty much everything and is hard as nails. I got onto it as a snag line (the .40) but now use it in lower diameters for pretty much every application other than floater fishing. It feels indestructible.
